Hem and Abdul finally finished LORD MILORI'S NEW CLOTHES, and we have to admit: HE LOOKS MORE MODERN; the truth is that Milori LIKED the change, because he says he feels VERY RENEWED and wants to "live to the MAX"!!

When Milori asks them both WHOSE THAT MAGNIFICENT IDEA WAS, Hem is quick to credit HER BELOVED; Abdul prefers to say that the merit went to BOTH; when Hem asks him (very blushing): "Honey, I just only helped you make the clothes, I don't feel like I've come up with many good ideas, I don't deserve credit"; Abdul replies: "Every artist needs a MUSE to be inspired and make a WORK OF ART; without a source of INSPIRATION I do NOTHING; YOU ARE MY MUSE, YOU INSPIRE ME; every time I look at your little CUTE face, your blue eyes, your yellow hair and I feel your beautiful warmth next to me, THE IDEAS AND DESIGNS COME TO MY MIND; if you are not with me I DO NOTHING".

Hem can't stop a tear from coming out of his eye and gives to HER lovely Abdul a BIG KISS on his lips!!

NEW SUITS FOR THE LORD!!

When Beck arrives with Lord Milori at Pixie Hollow, it is almost empty, since all the fairies are at work; Beck then takes the opportunity to go to Hem and Abdul's SEWING WORKSHOP so they can make Milori NEW CLOTHES and maybe SUITABLE for Pixie Hollow's weather.

Lord Milori finds them both very nice but also very ECCENTRIC; obviously he notices the great skill of both in sewing, being them very attentive, friendly and above all EFFICIENT in their assignment!! They don't waste a minute of time to start the work!!...Even though Lord Milori doesn't stop worrying that Abdul is going to SWALLOW one of his NEEDLES and Hem will INJURE her LIPS with the SCISSORS.

The Home Sewer's Workshop.The worker need feel no sense of loneliness or isolation in her workshop, for if she choose the decoration of the woodwork and walls in good taste, and have one or two comfortable chairs...it will become a rendezvous for other members of the family, especially children.

I love this homey image and now feel my sewing room, which has a twin bed so we can put up guests, really needs some comfortable chairs. This is found in Laura I. Baldt Dressmaking Made Easy in 1928 published by the McCall Pattern Company. Baldt taught at Teachers College at Columbia University when it still had Household Art department. She published several sewing and garment design books.
