I know I’m a little late to the mask sewing game. But today I found all my notions, set up a sewing space in the burgundy guest room, watched YouTube tutorials to remember how to thread my machine, and got to work. My first mask was the pink one, and it took me a whopping 90 minutes (I know, I’m slooooow). I repurposed the elastic from a surgical mask, and it’s too long for behind the ears. So this one wraps nicely around my ponytail to stay in place. The black one ended up taking me 40 minutes, and I cut the surgical mask plastic in half. It’s not quite as long as I like, but it will keep the mask on tightly hooked to my ears. I want to make as many as I can find elastic for, so it will be interesting to see how my sewing skills improve in the next couple of mask attempts #coronadiaries #sewingmasks #mysewingspace #sewingnovice https://www.instagram.com/p/B_gDNYlhEdC/?igshid=6e54vvkoptrd
