Some days I am Chuck Taylor, other days I am Chuck Taylor.
I swear to fucking God I almost cried.
18 years. It took until I was 18 to go to my first wrestling show. No words can describe how the atmosphere felt. From witnessing my first live botch to meeting some of my favorite wrestlers, I can never get enough of the emotions I felt that day.
Everyone wants to shit on pro-wrestling because “it’s not real.” No. Attend a live wrestling event, look me in the eye, and tell me that shit again.
I was 7 years old all over again. It was like when I first discovered this sport. It was that spark. A feeling I had become addicted to.
Oh God. Don’t get me started on when I first met Chris Hero. I was so shy. I was a blushing mess. This is my crush. My favorite wrestler of all time and here we are face to face. I shamelessly, yet shyly asked him to sign my ‘Daddy Hero’ sign. He was so cool about it that he declared himself my father through writing. And then? That little shit looked down at my hoodie, made groping gestures and looked towards the others wrestlers near by and casually said- “Do you guys know what that means? It means breasts.”
I was 50 shades of fucking red. I didn’t think anyone would notice.
Thanks, Hero.
Chuck is such a sweetheart I almost felt bad tweeting him that NSFW chat picture from like a week before. Would I be a creep if I said he smelled really nice?
ACH probably thinks I’m a ring rat after our short conversation. Lmao. Sorry, my man.
Laredo Kid is so cute up close omfg. I just wanted to squish his cheeks.
Poor Zack had his right eye bruised. I wanted to offer him something cold to apply but I’m too introverted. Very sweet man.
Jason Kincaid is criminally underrated. He’s so talented and I’m so glad so discovered him through my first event. Highly recommend watching his matches.
This was on Jan. 27 and 28 and I'm posting on my birthday because I thought it felt appropriate. Actually, I just really miss this blog. I'm trying my best to be active, but... Well. Next week is that start of great things for me. I'll be sure to share that journey with you guys. And don't worry. I'm trying my best to post new writing material.
