Hi! You're probably tired of talking about it (hate doesn't deserve attention, I know) but I just wanted to say, I'm sorry people are being so awful to you over the way you draw some bnha characters. It's like they're uncomfortable seeing certain things (sh scars, fat people) and instead of asking themselves why they feel so uncomfortable and do some much needed soul searching (plus, maybe touching some grass) they lash out. It's unfair and you don't deserve their hatred and baseless assumptions. Personally, I love your art so much. It feels real. People aren't perfect. They carry their past with them. Their bodies have scars, grow hair, form fat rolls. It's normal. I see myself in Uraraka's soft squishy thighs, Toga's sh scars and especially in kiri/baku's top surgery scars (my personal favourites!) which is why your art feels especially dear and close to me. If someone doesn't see themself in your art and neither has enough basic common sense or empathy to realise that this is just what some people look like, and that these people (or in this case, fictional characters) don't owe anyone covering their scars or fat rolls or body hair, that's on them. Looking away and blocking is free. Curating one's own social media experience is free. Don't be a dick to strangers online you know nothing about, folks.

annoying people online hate my obnoxiously diverse headcanons. i heavily agree about the aversion coming from ignorance. when its not fellow queer fandom goers getting mad about what im drawing its people who associate with the alt right. that tells me pretty much all i need to know about how little "wrong" im actually doing. i pointed it out on twitter a bit ago in a convo w a moot, but the whole deal about art itself needing to be beautiful/attractive im 90% sure is tied to white supremacy lol. ik thats a huge thing to bring up when talking about smth as silly as mha fanart but i feel like the sentiment applies. especially when its those same right leaning accounts telling me i "shouldnt be allowed to draw grotesque things" ..

i do rlly appreciate knowing how much ppl actually care about my hcs and can actually understand them the way i do :(((( <3<3 it feels good knowing we arent so alone.

andd on top of all this i just like exploring characters like this !!!!!!!!!! its fun blaaaah !!!!!!!!!!!!! everyone needs to get more cringe- its so bad out here right now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fandom is so stuck on being "correct" or whatever no one wants to make weird shit anymore

Hello, it's the same anon that sent you an unpopular opinion before. I'm back with another! (I like to dump them on you bc you're very kind.) Maryse didn't deserve the arc she got. She was awful to Izzy in season 1, undermining her life choices and making her feel as though she had to change herself. She was even worse to Alec, her and Robert both making it painstakingly clear to him that he wasn't good enough and that their love depended on his performance. Idk, I just can't reconcile that.

Omg hello again! Thanks for messaging me! I loved your last question. You can always send opinions, unpopular or not, my way. Discussing the show is one of my favorite pass times.

To preface this, I will say that I do agree with the majority of the fandom on this one. But I’m always up for a discussion. I can understand why some people may not be able to forgive Maryse for the things she did in the past. They were horrible and did give her children mental health and self esteem issues. There’s no arguing there.

I like that she was able to realize this and change for the better, though. And I think with the type of people Alec, Izzy, and Jace are. As well as the kind of relationship they had with her, it was easy for them to forgive her even if she maybe didn’t deserve it in some people’s opinions. It was probably unhealthy, but all three of them still loved Maryse and wanted her approval despite the way she treated them (at least in s1), and they honestly didn’t realize the extent to which she was treating them badly especially while they were younger. It wasn’t an entirely estranged relationship. So when Maryse started to consciously change how she was acting, I understand why the three of them were willing to forgive her.

More personally, the reason I’m willing to forgive her and really liked seeing her redemption arc was the hope it gives. The idea that your parents can treat you horribly or not accept who you are. But that it’s possible for them to realize they were wrong and try to fix their relationship with you is an idea that has a lot of hope attached to it. Even if that isn’t the way it will always turn out, it can happen. And seeing it on TV gives hope that it could happen to you if your relationship with your parents isn’t the best either. I can’t speak for others, but that’s a big reason for me.

honestly i really don’t like where this is going.  first we “lost” raphael and now luke and what if they turn simon into a shadowhunter too? didn't they say that there would have been a new couple of parabatai in the finale? don’t get me wrong, raphael really deserved that happy ending but listen... why didn't they just make him a daylighter? he would have been just as happy and he would have also make amend and take the clan back but no they had to turn all of them in either shadowhunters or mundanes... and they’re spreading the message that every downworlder is miserable and would never accept their new life is just wrong because????? why????? like clary accepted her new shadowhunter life just fine but people like maia, simon, luke etc can't because they're downworlders and being a downworlder = having a shitty life? they really have no idea of how wrong this is?!

PSA FOR THE SH FANDOM

This whole situation is not completely Alec's or Magnus' fault. They are both in the wrong here. They both fucked up and are still fucking up. There hasn't been proper communication between them since before 2x18. Yes, Alec should've told Magnus about the Soul Sword but Alec was trying to protect not only The Downworlders but Magnus and his own people as well, he was trying to prevent a rebellion. And Magnus was hurt because he trusted Alec with information about himself no one else knew and he feels betrayed by Alec, and believes it unfair to make decisions for the Downworld even though that wasn't Alec's intention. But do either of them see each other's POV? No, not they don't. You know why? Because they haven't talked. They've just been acting. Magnus thinking about taking the Seelie Queen's offer is completely understandable and justified because he was hurt and tired of the injustice done by the Clave. But do I REALLY think he just said yes without consulting the other Downwold leaders? No. There's more going on to this situation that we don't know about, and Magnus going from "I love you" at the end of 2x18 to just completely stone cold and indifferent in 2x19 is really sketch, especially after that scene in his loft with Raphael and Luke. So yes more is going on than what we've been given. And I'm not choosing Magnus' side or Alec's side. I'm saying that they both need to TALK ABOUT THIS, and COMMUNICATE. Both of them are at fault. Yes Alec needs to apologize for some things, but Magnus does as well because some of the things he said are completely uncalled for and said in the heat of the moment. Don't hate on certain characters when you don't know the full story yet. So take a deep breath, chill out, calm down, don't send hate to people, don't start drama, and politely and respectfully speculate about the finale without hating on characters that you don't know the full story of unless it's justified, and wait to see what happens. They may not be "together" like they were in the finale but if they agree to work things out, imagine the journey they'll have in s3? Their relationship and their bond is going to be so much stronger. Just have patience.

thank you for your climon post! i agree that there is nothing bad about them. i'm guessing the biggest problem people have is that they didn't work at all in the books (with simon getting really jealous and way too eager & clary not being really honest with him) and people may be kind of hesitant because right now their dynamic is so beautiful and they are afraid it will change for the worse. let's see. as long as climon are happy, i'm happy

it’s no problem! yeah i understand that view on it, my post was mainly directed at people who call it an “incest” ship and/or “disgusting”. Because seeing this makes me and other romantic!climon shippers (the very few that i know of) sad because it isn’t, it’s a beautiful ship (platonic or romantic). I ship Climon both romantically and platonically. I love them no matter what (in the books i don’t think i really shipped them romantically but in the show i do). Like with the amount of climon stuff I post you probably wouldn’t realise that it’s not my biggest SH otp xD. I hope if and/or when they do climon, they do them justice because both clary and simon are my 2 of my favourite characters and their friendship is just beautiful and seeing how SH has dealt with friendships that were not there in the book I can’t wait to see how they deal with this. I like that statement “as long as climon are happy, I’m happy” me too.

it’s really sad and lowkey embarassing that in order to make s*zzy happen they have to leave out maia every single time.

309/310: maia leaves to take time for herself right when they started planting the seed for s*zzy even tho they could have showed her dealing with her personal stuff but i guess that was too much to ask?

312: maia got left out because she had to deal with pack business and what a coincidence? In the same ep s*zzy went out on a mission to the seelie court

316: more s*zzy scenes and guess what? maia is not in this one either

317: the synopsis says that s*zzy is out on a secret mission together and please pretend to be surprised but maia is not gonna be in that one either

do the writers feel so threatened by maia’s character and her relationship/friendship with simon that they have to leave her out every time just to make that ship happen? yikes
