I've got a few theories as to why this may be.

People on Tumblr are used to AUs in which the creator is just messing around with something for fun, not looking to make anything more elaborate about it like a fanfic or a comic so they're a lot more willing to spill the beans about anything asked.

Streaming services have degraded the average person's patience and caused within them a desire to get answers for stuff immediately.

Related to the previous point, folks maybe aren't used to the way traditional webcomics (as opposed to webtoons) operate anymore?

Or all of the above. Idk.
