At the risk of sounding old (over 25), the phrase “shadow daddy” is a LIE. None of the men it’s used for are older than (immortal) mid twenties

If we’re going to have to deal with the phrase we should at least get a daddy out of it (if they don’t want to put a real age gap in NA at least give us a dad bod with some body/facial hair)

Anon, I'm here to say, as a fellow old person, I agree with you. I prefer my Daddies old and graying but unfortunately the term 'Shadow Daddy' refers to a very specific roster of book characters so alas. 🙃
