Got the idea that only Splatoon characters (possibly only Inkfish but not sure) can have manga-style Shadows. Humans, Koopas, Garo, etc. can't form a Shadow counterpart no matter how much passion they have for turf wars.
This fact has... effects on Shadow Meggy (because there's no way Meggy goddamn Spletzer, of all Inklings, didn't generate a Shadow) when Meggy gets drained and turned kinda-sorta human.
Painful, horrifying effects.
Oh yeah i was just thinking about that tbh
love the shadow clones of the splatoon gang, very silly (shadow team blue my beloved)
there are about 2 ways this can go
a. Shadow Meggy is literally fucking rotting and dying because of the whole getting turned human aspect of the passion thing so thats the secondary goal of the Shadows challenging their counterparts- to hopefully fix Shadow Meggy by kick starting new passion waves from the Splatsquad
b. Shadow Meggy is a fucked up amalgamation of all negative parts of Meggy similar to Himself from Friday Night Funkin and is an actual fucking threat and villain and is literally melting and degrading (basically shes a glitching humanoid mass of electric ink) in real time but can't die because the passion waves from Meggy are keeping her alive, which is why this fucker wants to kill Meggy and/or take her place to make the pain stop and the Shadows are trying to enlist the help of their counterparts to hopefully fix her
both of these thankfully get fixed by the combination of The Splatsquad and Team Blue (+ thier shadow) beating the absolute ever living ink out of her and the sheer amount of passion manages to fix her, resulting in her looking like canon Meggy (but monotone with yellow highlights)
she's chill now dw, sleeps a lot of the time
