I made a character based off the song “Shallow River” by The Crane Wives. I plan on writing down the whole story later but for now take the first finished illustration of Ruby of several I plan on making.

Field - Let's go on a journey through the field

Let's go on a photo journey through the field. Summer. Summer in the lens. Beautiful summer sunshine. The most wonderful summer weather. A typical summer. A typical summer day. Hot. Lots of green. And we're heading to the field. Just strolling through the field. A creative journey through the field. A typical field. And the best field in the world.

We're walking along a country road. On sand. On grass. Everything around is overgrown. Forest everywhere. We're just approaching the field. There are flowers and grass all around. Buttercups. Just kidding. I don't know what they're called. Such beautiful purple flowers. Such an interesting color. And tall grass. On either side of the path. And we're walking. Soon we'll be in a real field. But for now, the road to the field.

Grass greets us. And the flowers that grow here. I'm curious myself. I haven't been to a field in ages. Not since childhood. It was all so long ago. But the field is definitely still there. It's still very large. And the path to the field—it's there, too.

Grass, so much green. A lovely, calming color. But in summer, everything is fine as is. No need to calm down. Everyone is positive. I am positive. And the field is waiting for us all to visit. There are several paths there, as I remember. We'll take a walk along one of them. And see what grows there. Look around.

Everything is so bright. And joyful. And it's like childhood. I'm walking into the field. The grass there is slightly different. It's even taller there. But for now, we're just approaching the field. The path becomes more and more overgrown. But we walk little by little.

Somewhere beyond this green grass is a forest. Or a river. There is a river. That's also wonderful to see. It's worth it to see something like that. A river. I used to love walking by the river. And I would still walk by the river now. Find out where it actually leads. And there's a forest. A dense, real forest. And this is a bit of grass. Separating the path from the forest. Very tall trees grow in the forest. And there are lots of them.

It turns out to be a small field, too. Actually. It's long along the road. And its own width. Beyond that, there's either forest or a river. But where we're going is a completely different field. It's certainly interesting to stroll here. Every summer, I come to visit a fairy tale. Today, this miracle happened to me—I walked in a field. And we'll see a field. Or rather, it was that summer day. Summer 2025.

The grass is green and vibrant. It's hot. And here and there, small flowers. They grow and enjoy life. There's lots of grass. A beautiful green color. How beautiful it is here. Sometimes you walk and don't even notice. How beautiful.

In such a wonderful place, it would be great to write some fantasy. About wizards. From a magic tower. So tall and white. Touching the sky. And a wizard sits there. Beautiful summer! How wonderful that we have it. Every year – summer. And everything grows. So many different things grow in this grass. A dense layer of grass.

Joy and greenery. Flowers and beautiful weather. What a fairytale place. A walk into a fairytale. It's wonderful. It's interesting to look around. What grows here. And what grows there. A green world. The dacha is a separate space. A whole planet. Where it's always summer. That's how it seems to a dacha dweller like me. I'm only here on the weekend.

The grass grows and grows. And I walk along the path. And just in anticipation. What does the field look like? And will I be able to walk there? It's probably even more overgrown there. And walking will be even more difficult. There will be even more grass.

There is so much grass here. But it's not as tall as in the field itself. So our hearts skip a beat as we approach the field. Great weather. And we simply walk forward along the path. Admiring the grass. And local flowers. There's a lot to see. Very beautiful. And everything is very green. Soon we'll be in the field. In the meantime, let's admire the flowers and grass around.
