Story in caption. Week 23 - #flora (#kaijune day 4)

Last week I found out about a very remote island called Kaijueiga Inaka. Despite my hostess’ dire warnings about its deadly creatures, how could I resist the temptation to travel into the unknown? According to the merfolk, only the most powerful know about it. And of course, all the most influential corporations keep a research station there, delving into the commercial potential of the local creatures. Upon arrival, thanks to my good relations with the management of Creattendant Inc, I secured a room at their research station. It is heavily defended, as gargantuan creatures roam this island! Shortly after my arrival, I witnessed one! I ran into huge flora before, but it did not prepare me for an 800 ft high shambling mound! This entangled chaos of plants slowly wandered through a forest. Though sentient, this creature was more like an ecosystem. It comprises a plethora of plants and associated animals. The animals are providing nutrients by hunting and bringing in everything they could capture.
