Women in Mahabharata - Shanta
She is the daughter of Anga's King Lomapada.
Lomapada, in a way takes advantage of the naive rishi Rishyashringa, by sending a cohort of women to lure the young boy away from his father's ashram, and then immediately marrying Shanta off to the boy before his father, rishi Vibhandaka had a chance to intervene.
His story is often used as a joke, with certain elements of the ordeal written in a specific manner to aid those jokes, but ultimately, even though the end of this story is somewhat happy, I would still consider both Shanta and Rishyashringa to be victims of a tiff between Lomapada and the local brahmin community.
Fortunately for Lomapada, Vibhandaka accepts the marriage, and allows Rishyashringa to reside in the palace with his wife.
They are gay and need their own fanfic about their ship.

Happy WBW! What is a children's song most anyone in you WIP or finished work would know?
Happy WBW!
It would have to be "Shanta's Lullaby". Shanta is the Goddess of Love and Life, and is also the creator of Allmothers (aka, Priestesses of Shanta). This group is not a race or species; instead, they are women of any race or species who are born with many innate magical abilities. These women are very important to The Pale Kingdom, so their songs, including Shanta's Lullaby, are pretty well known. Even if most don't know the words or the name of it, they definitely know the tune.
Despite it being a lullaby, it has a melancholic tune to it because it's meant to tell the story of how Shanta made her promise to a dying Metras in the God's Glade. To sum it up, she promised him that his kind, the Akuji, would have someone to love them after being abandoned by their parents, and so she created Allmothers for that purpose. She sealed her word with a kiss and then pulled him into the earth where he could rest. The song itself sounds similar to La Petite Fille de la mer by Vangelis.
Shinso and Vanta late to class... Again.
