Several people replied to Samejima’s call to arms from a few days ago. Most of them were NPCs, sure, but they could support the cause anyway! What matters is that people are mobilized to find the scientists and bring order back to Hive City as soon as possible.
This wouldn’t be an easy task, however, so, among all the people that contacted him in some manner to help him at his mission, a few were selected by Samejima to form a special White Dude Manly Rescue Team!! And now, the five of them (Samejima included) are united here, at the door of Loser Squad studios, to begin their quest!
“Alright, everybody, now that you’re all here, we can start this rescue mission. I’d give you all time to present yourselves and socialize, but from what I’ve seen before, group threads tend to fall flat if you waste too long a time at those, so let’s go straight to business. Here...”
Samejima hands each of his teammates one of those ear communicators, so that they can share info in case they’re forced to separate. “This should give us 20 coolness points. Awesome, isn’t it? We’ll start by checking Sector 1. From there, we might separate to increase our range to the underground and outer districts. If everybody got it, just make your Narrator say that I took you there when they reply. Can’t take too long to advance this plot!”

『➵ He wasn’t quite sure where he was, how he’d ended up here. He’d been flying about (and while he tried to restrict his daily flight limit to emergencies and heading home, so often did the sky call to him, and the urge to stretch his wings and take to the skies was too great.) when the familiar tingle of overuse began to spread through his wings. He’d grit his teeth- 5 minutes was still too short for him, one who’d once been able to fly for as long as he saw fit, until he simply tired of flight. But there was nothing to be done about it now, and the angel had circled in for a landing.
He’d flown over a few other districts, only to circle back to his own. The idea of returning to the diplated underground of District Epsilon, to the walls stacked with musky old tomes and scrolls, didn't apeal to the angel. Instead Pitch took his time exploring about the bustling city life of Complex 5, the constant hub-bub, smells and sights of all the sorts of items and foods being sold. Not unlike the open-air market from his old... home. If it could be called that, nomadic as he was.
Of all the interesting things he saw about, what caught his eye most was a shock of bright green hair, a bright yellow dress. A pulse of an unrecognizable emotion shot through him. Could it be..? Before he could stop himself he was darting after it, hope bubbling in his chest. When he came upon them, he grabbed their arm- only to sharply retract his hand as if burned. This wasn’t who he thought it was. He recoiled shyly, wings once flared now drawing tight to him.
“I’m...I’m sorry. I thought you were somebody I knew,” he mumbled, casting his scarlet gaze away. 』
