I am literally at the eleventh hour, being so late to the party, but I don't care, because I said I'd finish it.
Rambling About My Ship...should be adjusted from Ship to Fleet, because there is no universe where I have a single solitary focus on one pairing. I am a captain of the Boom! Comics multishipping movement and would not be able to choose just one.
Seriously, I've tried. I thought I would spend today loving and holding up Billy/Skull like a prize pup in a dog breeding program, but then I remembered I have Billy/Skull/Matt curled up in my hoodie pocket, with Coinless Bulk/Slayer Kim lazing in the sun on a windowsill; with Sentry Adam/Sentry Skull nesting outside under the porch.
Then of course there's Andros/Zhane flittering around in the sky, and T.J.+Reformed Psycho Rangers wandering around by the river like stray deer; Marah/Dustin and Kapri/Tori playing around on the river bank to feel each other out, and Devin/Cassidy/Trent trying to mind their own business in a field of sunflowers but doing a terrible job it. And of course tiny little ones like J.J Oliver/Anara just trying to dig their way out of the earth like moles.
Suffice it to say, I hold and nurture pairings and poly relationships that almost nobody else but a select few think of or care about. I cannot help it; it comes part and parcel with caring about characters that most of the fandom dismisses outright or dunks on for no reason other than the actual show director's and writers' poor judgement and execution leading them like sheep to water in how they THINK they're supposed to treat them, but if they had half a set of smarts and functioning eyesight would know better.
(I am one of the few people on Earth that watched the PR'17 movie and still think Kimberly got off WAY too easy for something incredibly unethical and illegal in mass texting Amanda's nude photos to most of their school. There is NO WAY that it remained an isolated incident, and teenagers are disgusting, and the internet is forever. The fact that this was the director's way of sneaking in a gender and caste flipped Bulk & Skull also makes me a little sick. True, white, higher classed cheerleader mean girls are actually accurate forms of bullies in the real world, but Colton as the red herring to deter attention was no help, and that's STILL not an excuse for Kimberly not actually doing anything to make restitution towards the person she wronged. But, I digress...)
Anyway. I know, I know for a fact, that the fics and pieces I put out for any relationships or singular characters I fancy will never be popular, and will never be well reviewed or much acknowledged, but I am going to continue to put them out there into the world, because I need them to exist, and sometimes I get a little nibble. It's not the worst thing in the world to nurture little fish in a big old fandom ocean. I like it like this, really.
