Papa Dagur + his horse family feat. a comic under the cutš (tap for quality)
dagur's dragon being a gronckle named shattermaster is the funniest thing ever. imagine a tiny toy poodle named killer deathcrusher
I have mixed feelings for the dragons that they gave Dagur in rtte
Shattermaster is perfect in every way, and a gronkle is the perfect choice for him to not only make the riders feel safer with the fact that heās flying a dragon but also to symbolize how heās mellowed out a lot and is more peaceful (in his still very deranged way ā¤ļø)
However, I think instead of the triple stryke after shattermaster, it would have been interesting for him to have a skrill. It could symbolize how heād truly became the chief of the beserkers, turning into a good leader that the tribe could trust and learning to value the meaning of his role rather than the power of it.
But, I understand why they didnāt give him a skrill because itās a dragon that heād been trying to hunt since he became chief of the beserkers and i doubt the skrill would ever fully trust him enough, at least in the time of the show⦠which honestly could have been interesting to see him have a bond with a dragon that didnāt go perfectly and to see how he handles that, since shattermaster basically bonded with him immediately and we didnāt see much of how he and Sleuther interacted other than their first meeting (it couldāve also been another way for the writers to show how heād matured since all the way back in ROB/DOB)
All in all, I think it wouldāve been neat for Dagur to have a skrill tho letās be honest Viggo and the skrill will always be iconic
gronckle guys!!!
Custom Figurines; the rest/unique/solitary (for now)
Red Death - Live Action Red Death Chomping Rampage (note; unsurprisingly, this figurine sucks - rubbery plastic, with the wing mechanism rarely working)
Veiled Spectruf - HTtYD:THW Toothless Figurine (damaged)
Whirlwing - Defenders of Berk Thornado (Knockoff)
Shattermaster - Defenders of Berk Meatlug (Knockoff. Possibly defective? His ears are kissing so I made them painted to look singed off)
Speedstinger (Rise of Berk + Show combination, default) - random dragon Figurine
Rise of Berk Whispering Death (default) - Another random dragon figurine
rewatching rtte rn and i LOVE Dagur's dragon Shattermaster! I was never fond of the recolors the shows did of the original five dragons, such as the solid neon color gronkles, but in his case I think it works. Giving Dagur a type of dragon that is known for being big ol' teddy bears at heart, and one that lives up to that reputation, was exactly what his arc needed. I also like that Shattermaster got his own characterization, such as being overenthusiastic and enjoying fights, that he was such a ball of energy and was one of the few dragons who kept the slit pupils even after being trained. He shared character traits with Meatlug, but presented them in a different way that made him a perfect match for his Berserker partner-in-crime. At the episode I most recently rewatched, I'm pretty sure Shattermaster gets written out of the show after this. I remember the triple strike being Dagur and Mala's dragon at some point, and I love that dragon and he features in one of my favorite episodes of the show, but I'm really going to miss the bright green gronkle.
DID SHATTERMASTER FUCKING DIE
