Dorado, it was rather small, but it was home to Maria. She didn’t have parents, they had died early on because of the crisis, but this...this was different. Never had she imagined that violence would break out here again, especially since there was already conflict between groups like Los Muertos and the government. However, it was late when the fights broke out, taking the town as collateral, Los Muertos against these Raiders as they called themselves.
The little girl tried to put up a fight until she realized it would be futile if she stayed on the streets, and managed to escape into an abandoned home, destroyed by the conflict. She hid into a wardrobe and held her breath as a group of Raiders ran past it, trying to find her and any other people of the town to harm and take whatever they could from them. Maria stayed in there, and cried silently, begging she wouldn’t be found.
It must have been a while and she had gotten careless, her cries more audible as the door of the wardrobe opened. The little one tried to hide at the corner of it and was visible afraid. “¡Déjame!” She cried out as it opened, but took notice that she wasn’t grabbed out or harmed immediately, and opened her eyes to look at the Strike Commander, still scared but saw the hand and took it. She immediately tried to hide herself into the man, thinking the fighting was still going on. “No más peleando, por favor...no more..” She cried quietly as she held tight to the man.
