the concept of karen complaining to ted about holly talking to an imaginary friend and clearly distressed that holly isn't acting like normal kids but still paying attention to her enough to know that mr whatsit's first name is henry and he wears a tall vest and a pocket watch... <3
#like ik its not confirmed if holly told her about it or if the teacher knows and told karen#but the point still stands. karen didn't just hear the word imaginary friend and block out the rest#she kept all of it. how he looks and what he's called#especially considering the we haven't talked a lot concept from s1#the wheelers are meant to be your average not too close family#they kind of just exist together#but then karen is seen constantly trying to change that with her kids#and it works a bit with nancy but she must know that theres still so much nancy isnt tellin her#she cares.
