I think we should talk about how important it was for Max to be the one to convince Holly that she shouldn’t feel guilty for ‘just standing there’ when her mom got attacked by the demogorgon and when Vecna strangled Max.

One of the key moments of Max’s arc in season 4 was her complicated feelings about ‘just standing there’ when Billy died.

So her saying: “There was nothing that you could do in those moments” was just as much for herself as it was for Holly.

And I just think that was pretty neat
