One of Anna's many pointless rants, this time on Bring Up the Bodies

Mantel's writing is superb and I love her representation of Cromwell (not to mention that we all get to see his family which is awesome) but I hate how she glaringly overlooked George and made him into some fashion obsessed spoiled little prat that basically threatens his wife every time she's in the room (though bless having Jane not give a shit and say what she wants anyway cause that's probably what Jane was actually like because fuck you George she's a Parker by birth).

I want my over-the top super dramatic reformist George that pisses of Chapuys because he keeps debating religion with everyone he comes into contact with

I want charming George who basically gets Francis to fall in love with him

I want a George whose not under his father's thumb and doesn't ask "how high?" when Anne says "jump" (because let me remind you George and Anne fought at least once on matters of religion, and when Anne declared she was going to kill Mary when the King left her as regent, it was George who told her "hold the fuck up there Anne, that's a little drastic"

I want George who cares as much about his role as Viscount, Warden and Ambassador as he does appearances and girls.  

I WANT A GEORGE THAT TREATS HIS WIFE WITH MILD DECENCY BECAUSE WE HAVE NO RECORD THAT HE WAS UNUSUALLY CRUEL TO HER OR THAT THEY WERE OVERTLY UNHAPPY WITH ONE ANOTHER.
