disability contacted my sister today and we're hoping her application for SSI comes back accepted bc she'll get 5 months of backpay which will help tremendously.

Can everyone send a little positive energy to her pls she needs it. She needs this win. We all do. I want my sister around for another 40+ years if I can have her around that long. Homelessness isn't good for anyone in her condition.

So many things have happened the last few weeks.

- Our car almost got stolen but the thieves must have killed the battery so they couldn’t take it (1 month ago)

- Sky broke her leg while my Mimi was playing with her while Kevin sold said car (3 weeks ago)

- Took Sky to change her splint for her cast (2.5 weeks ago)

- Went to the gym for the first time in years & had my first PP workout to deal with stress of Sky breaking her leg (2 weeks ago)

But you know what? Sky has proved Kevin and I both wrong. We thought this broken leg would break her spirit because she’s so active. But it absolutely did not!!! She adapted, she found a way to move by crawling. She stands on one leg like a flamingo while holding onto something stable. She is still our strong willed girl who is on the move. I’m so inspired by her and proud of her 🥲

Also while Sky and Kevin were at the Aquarium yesterday, they were in this “lab” room for kids to play and came across a fellow hippie parent. Her kids attend a nature play “school” and it’s not too far!!!! 1 day per week of nature school is only $190/month 👌🏾Every day you add to the week is an extra $190/month. So 2 days a week would be $380/month. Which I get they have no rent to pay or a lot of overhead because nature is their classroom but like, that’s very reasonable (in Miami, at least).

I really hope this school or something similar pans out for her. She keeps saying “but you’ll have to stay” and I’ll stay in the parking lot the whole day if she needs me to but this girl needs to know that she can go a whole day without us, have fun, and that we will be back for her.

Also 3 more days until I PRAY they switch her to a walking boot - please send her good vibes, prayers, etc that my girls foot is healing well ✨✨✨

Seren has been running around non stop helping to get all the winter dances and balls and festival set up. Nobles sure do like to party this time of year. She smiles to herself as the large tube fills will hot water and she adds a few fruity scented oils and soaps to it. She does not get to soak in a bath often. She mainly does quick sponge baths or showers. This is a nice treat for her. She removes her towel and slips into the water with a happy sigh as she settles into the water
