If season 3 never happened, Reese. They always had the best chemistry as friends and there was this balance that Reese would have brought to Ethan and vice versa. Then both their characters completely changed in season 3 and I don’t really see it anymore unless there were major changes back to how they were in season 2. Maybe if she ever returns in the future of the Med universe, and Ethan had grown a lot.

I ship him currently with anger management and therapy. He’s like kind of an asshole right now, his whole scene with Emily when he found out was just not the bet version of Ethan, or one that should be dating anyone. He was getting better in season 2 and then 3 went and destroyed all that growth.

Why did Mary wear her perfume that night? A thoughtless habit, or was it deliberate? She’s too clever to make little mistakes that that, do things that would identify herself. She would certainly know that Sherlock would recognise it (no doubt she’s been on his blog, he’s spent enough time around her) -- did she wear it to deliberately catch his attention and pull him upstairs, as he would be thinking of Lady Smallwood and his case? “Mary wears it”, “no, not Mary, somebody else” -- Sherlock is distracted, intrigued, he leaves John’s side. Mary has Sherlock alone, away from John. He falls for her trap. Did she need to get him isolated and caught off guard?
