Sushi CGC 16mos
Creed CGC just shy of 24mos (went back to doublecheck dates)
Sushi CGCA hopefully before 2022 so that would be 17 or 18 mos
Creed CGCA 25mos
It's not a huge difference, only about 6 or so months, but when people talk about how certain breeds are easier to fit certain roles than others this definitely is on my mind. Sushi's biggest problem with the CGC was, surprisingly, the supervised seperation. It's weird because I can hand her off to anyone and they tell me she's great, so this was a total shock. Creed's biggest problem again shocked me- despite being a fairly aloof dog doing BH level obedience he jumped for his friendly stranger and also howled during his supervised seperation. His second try made sense- he barked at a malinois also taking the test just after habing been attacked in the parking lot by some saddle-less GSD mix thing. Try number three the next week was passed no issue.
Creed however then took his CGCA 4 weeks later and passed it on the first go.
Sushi I think is closing in on ready for her CGCA as it's all stuff she's learned how to do for service work, and I think it will probably go the same. Though knowing her she'll come up with something stupid to do day of that she's never done before 🤣
I never took CGCU with Creed because I couldn't find someone to do it. I now have someone willing to test Sushi whenever she's ready, so that will be fun to experience.
