Should have had this done for Christmas but managed it before the new year. Crocheting with multi stranded cotton is tricky for left-handed me, I tend to untwist it. 😆
The yarn I ordered last week finally came in 😍 Sheepjes whirls! Been drooling over this yarn since I discovered it a few months ago. The "woolly whirl" ones are a cotton and wool blend, they're soo soft.
I'm going to make my mom a shawl for Christmas out of the blue one! It's such a pretty yarn, I absolutely love the slow gradient. I bought a matching small ball of the same dark blue that's in that blue cake so I can extend the shawl a bit and have it have more of the dark blue at the bottom. Hopefully it'll look really good! I've never worked with yarn this thin before (smallest I've worked with is worsted and this is fingering) soo that'll be interesting
I'm done for the night; potentially finished crocheting this blanket in fact. I'll decide in the morning. I have some amount of green left but I'm too tired to judge if it's enough to go a full round again. How weird is crochet though? The first 6 hours working on this blanket had a really impressive result. This last 6 hours? Looks like I've just added 3 inches. -_- (The pink stitch marker is where I started today) But the blanket is properly fitting a queen bed now, so it's worth it.
