We all deserve some type of self care. Ive been stressing over a lot of things lately, and besides reading, another way of calming myself down is by taking care of myself. I think that self care is really important for every human being and it should not be neglected. We all think we don’t deserve all the love and care, but in reality, that’s exactly what you need. It’s okay to feel down, it’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to rest, as long as you don’t quit. I loved the Selection series, it was one of my #guiltypleasure reads. But with The Betrothed, I was really dissatisfied with the world. Everything about the book was just meh. Like I don’t get the point of this book. I don’t feel the connection between Silas and Hollis. The characters were an absolute mess (not the good kind of mess) I had high expectations for this one, The Authors writing style was simple and easy, which made it more annoying considering there was no world building, or character development, the plot was too simple and it was just really annoying and irritating for me. I love Kiera Cass, I loved her Previous books, but this just wasn’t for me. I don’t want to say anything else about this book because There’s literally nothing to talk about.
