Normalising Acne 💛 This is a difficult subject for me, as I am hugely insecure about this. Summers coming, the days are starting to get warmer and we are starting to consider our summer clothing. Every summer i face the same insecurity of my skin. Even though I have tried every lotion, potion, supplements, a skincare routine given to me by a dermatologist and 2 years of Ruaccutane, I get acne on my back, chest and shoulders, something I have lived with for 17 years. Every summer whenever I’m brave enough to not cover it, someone comments on it, and it fills me with embarrassment and I cover back up. Can we start normalising that not all of us has perfect skin despite having a healthy lifestyle and skincare routine? I want to be able to wear strapless dress without being judged with “poor hygiene” because I have acne.
