Wake up, folks! A new Legion romance patch (including platonic relationships, too!) just dropped for Mass Effect 2!

An author named jasp on AO3 (big kudos to you! <3) released an interactive fanfic allowing you to finally get into a relationship with Legion. It's not only wonderfully written, it also has the trademark ME dialogue wheel and even the Normandy AI core engine noise in the background!

It really felt like talking with Legion again, which is a real treat. Finally, after the painful ordeals of ME3, my depression has been cured, my broken heart has been mended, and my soul has been restored.

Also I'm gonna tag @everythingcounts2007remaster and @menacingmetal since I know both of you are Legion lovers (hope you don't mind ^^)

Do these units have a soul?

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. If you do not have eyes does it mean you are without a window or a soul? I have eyes, but I do not know if they are windows to anything. You have none, yet I feel as though within you, mechanical and metal unforgivingly alien I have found myself. I hope when you look into my eyes you can find that which none could before. I hope when you look into my eyes you can see the beauty of yourself as I have seen mine in you.

I’ve had my favorite goobers as my tumblr background for over a year and I realized I never posted them so here they are for N7 Day!

@fereldang both Lena and Legion aren’t really the romantic types, so the idea of a date is a pretty foreign concept to them. it would probably begin as nothing more than some friendly sniping competition - even though Lena’s robotic prosthetic helps even the playing field between them, Legion would sometimes hesitate a few milliseconds longer to give her the shot, allowing her to win. afterwards, they might retire to the Normandy’s lounge, where the two would watch the stars while Lena downs a few cocktails. after a drink or two, she might start pulling out her books of human poetry and start pouring over them, reading passages aloud to Legion, who continuously pauses her to ask questions. another drink and half later and she’s deep into the Bukowski collection, smoking cigarettes and starting to get unusually emotional. sappy, even. Legion gets an interesting lesson on the trials and tribulations of human relationships, until Lena stops mid-poem and turns on a movie instead. tonight she chooses ‘Bicentennial Man’ - an old earth favorite of hers about an android that spends 200 years trying to become human and falls in love in the process. Lena falls asleep in a dreamy drunken haze before the end, but Legion continues watching diligently. when it’s over, he gently carries her to bed, sitting on its edge patiently for the rest of the night while she sleeps. in the morning, he would ask her if they had just went “on a date.” and yes, yes they did. ( aaaahhh I had to think about this one a bit !!!! )

17. Who says I love you first?

Lena, though she technically doesn’t get all the words out. I can’t go into too much detail with that because it’s gonna be in my fanfic I’m writing. But, really, I like to think their “‘Good luck/be careful’, 'Acknowledged’” exchanges are basically the equivalent of the “'I love you’, 'I know’” thing.

23. Who makes up the cheesy pick up lines?

Of course Legion does. He’s picked apart every database in the galaxy for advice on dating customs of humans. Just because of their prevalence, stupid cliches show up in the most search results, mostly ironically but irony doesn’t translate with him too well. “Shepard-Commander, you are an angel who fell from space.” Well… he’s not entirely wrong.

26. Their theme song?

“My Body is a Cage - Arcade Fire”The moment I heard this song like 5 years ago it immediately reminded me of this pairing and I’m not even a person who thinks of fictional characters while listening to music. But it’s always stuck as 'their song’ to me. Give it a listen - its really good.
