Anyone got the details on the new Sheith drama on Twitter (involving I think zines, and the artist Lehanan and some random Sheith stan I think)? I'm only seeing one side of the story and want the full picture. I'd ask on Twitter but I follow a few of the people involved on both sides and want to avoid getting blocked lmao.

Can't be the show cause I watched it to and there was, at no point, a scene where it became canon that Shiro and Keith are blood-related, nor did shiro sign any kind of paper that makes keith his adopted son. I'm a pretty chill guy and I like to think that I have a pretty long match cord when it comes to discourse like this. I don't really want to have a part in this. But ever since season 6 aired EVERY SINGLE IDIOT from here to the next continent commented bullshit like the above-mentioned on my drawings. And slowly, but ever so steady it's getting on my fucking nerves. I've had it with that shit. Seriously. I'll never stop shipping sheith. I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to that. So ya'll can like... Stop doing what you're trying to do here and just shove these idiotic arguments up your sorry butts. Cause I don't care. I do accept that there are people seeing them as brothers. And I do accept that people feel uncomfortable about this ship. But guess what? This goes both ways. Second me shipping Sheith is not new, I do not know what you’re thinking when Sheith has never been “gross” aside from other people spreading misinformation about how Shiro apparently “adopted” Keith and or is his brother when, newsflash!

The show runners have explicitly said so and have openly supported those who choose to see them in a romantic light because it’s a valid ship. After all, the show really only started when Keith was 19 since he was 18 following the prologue, and then a year later takes place where Shiro comes down to earth. After that Keith has a time shift where he comes back 2 years older as he spends with his mother in a different dimension. To say the ship is predatory or incestuous, is well, quite a lot on your part.
Next up, it’s obvious you don’t care about the show, or Keith to simply think that about him. For me, I relate to the character and his interactions with others, it’s something I hold pretty darn close because before I was really “myself”, I was pretty much like Keith. However, personal stories don’t do “much” when all you really care is sending hate asks to others when you, in the next ask, say you don’t watch the show so, I’ll be sure to give you all the information you need! Just to let you know again, however, Keith may be “emo” or high strung and annoying to you, but there are those who look at him and see themselves or even get where he’s coming from UNLIKE you.
Maybe have some compassion next time rather than “LOL, He’s white passing what’s so good about him.” Because ships aside? Keith is really something I didn’t think I needed to say “I like being someone like me, and seeing that kinda representation somewhere.” But here I am, and here you were sending an ask acting like you’re on some moral high ground because I ship two adults while you remain on anon and not just blocking my tags / unfollowing me.
It’s so fucking disgusting seeing people try to separate Keith’s “I love you” from the sentence right before it: “you’re my brother.” It literally came right after a sequence of memories from when Shiro basically adopted Keith (as his teacher no less). Fucking repulsive how that just went over y’alls heads.
If you think that Sheith is canon bc ‘they love each other too much to be friends’ then I don’t think you’ve ever had close friends or family that meant the world to you.

I am a klance shipper and I can confirm that it is over saturated in the fandom, it’s okay to like something but it disgusts me that other klance shippers will berate almost anyone who doesn’t ship what they like. I just don’t understand why everyone can’t just get along and enjoy voltron as a whole! Don’t stop shipping what you love just because of a bunch of assholes
Hey! Yes, I completely agree! And sorry if any of my asks/posts made it sound like I meant ALL Klance shippers are like that because obviously that’s not true, but I feel like there are more crazy Klance shippers than sane ones. I just wish there were more Klance shippers such as yourself calling out the really rude ones. Give them a wake up call and stuff. Although, even if there are Klance shippers doing that I’m sure they’re getting harassed as well for wanting the discourse to stop. I’m so sorry for the nice Klance shippers like you who don’t hate on anyone’s ships but are being labeled in the same group as the rude shippers. I guess the same thing goes to antis. Because not all antis are rude ones. They’re just antis who are discourse-free and don’t tell people to kill themselves.
What really worries me though is the fact since there’s so much shipping discourse in this fandom (specifically between Sheith and Klance shippers) the Voltron crew probably think the whole fandom is only watching the show for ships, and I think that’s just sad. Now, I couldn’t care less for either ship because I ship pretty much everything else (a.k.a the rare pairs), but if people are watching each season only for “shippy moments”, both sides will try to look for things that are considered to be “just a bro thing” or whatever to try to say “this ship is DEAD” and, in my honest opinion, every interaction Keith has with Lance or Shiro can be considered platonic. Maybe it even SHOULD be. I’m just saying that because shippers shouldn’t get their hopes up in case neither ship becomes canon. I personally don’t want anything to become canon just for the sake of discourse to fucking end. But… the question is, will it REALLY ever end?
