F: Care to share a favorite hurt/comfort fic?

Man, I had to go back for this one. I’ve been reading a lot of hurt/comfort, but not in fandoms we share, so I’ll instead hand over an old favorite: i know places by andibeth82. Clint being messed up in the head is always fun!

G: Care to share a favorite crack fic?

Shadydave’s To Fly Like a Moron because I’ve never seen Pumaman treated so seriously and so wonderfully.

L: What's the weirdest AU you've ever come up with?

This is an unfair question because I need more qualifiers! Like, what’s the weirdest FOR THAT FANDOM? or just in general where I’m like, why is this a thing? Like, is it weird that I turned a computer-brained spy and his handler into an Olympic diver and a beach volleyball player, respectively? Or that I turned the Avengers into pirates? I don’t think making Natasha a Rusalka was that much of a stretch, but an orca specialist might have been.

No wait, this is a gimme. It’s definitely the time quistie and I turned Sarah Walker into Sky Masterson.

F: What’s your favorite book? Favorite author?

Gosh this question is so MEAN. I don’t have one of either. I have too many. So let’s go with 14-year-old Frea, who read Damia by Anne McCaffrey about 80 times. I also liked the Rowan, but honestly, the first half of Damia is just the Rowan retreaded. I am not going to reread that series, though, because I know adult me would have so many issues with things, and I’d prefer to keep the happy memories. I will say that I’m glad I didn’t grow up to be like the Rowan and seem to be perfectly okay on my own rather than wasting away in sadness. Teenage me was always puzzled by how heartbroken she was to be alone.

R: What genre do you write in?

Any genre that will have me, but typically sci-fi/fantasy (urban fantasy is the official designation for the Gail books) and women’s fiction.

E: Have you ever participated in National Novel Writing Month or any of its variations?

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaha. …yeah. Yeah, I have. Started in 2002, most recent win was 2015. I tend to be something of a Nanorebel, though, because I rarely work on one project. I used the month to write the bulk of Mixed Up. 

A: What do you write?  Fanfiction, original fiction, nonfiction, articles, songs, poems, essays, plays, what?

Fanfiction and original fiction. The occasional blog post, but essaying (which is essentially what blogging is) has never been a big draw for me.

9: How many languages can you speak?

One! I can….maybe get around in German? If I really had to? But I don’t want to have to because I am embarrassed about how terrible I am at German.

13: Last time you got a portrait taken by a photographer?

Earlier this year, actually. I needed my author photographs done for cons and the like and I was growing my hair out for my friend’s wedding, so it’s super long in the pictures (like it is now; I need a haircut). But my mom ordered like 6 of the pictures and they’re all framed in the dining room now. My siblings need to get their pictures done because it’s weird being in there all alone.

20: Own a record player?

Woman in the Crosshairs (as it was the first of your fics that I read), #1, please :)

What was my inspiration for this fic? How did it come to me?

I am pretty sure I wrote this fic while super behind on a work project and only sleeping sporadically. It was written over the course of 36 hours and meant to be something else entirely (if you read it, you'll notice it switches gears about an eighth of the way in as I decide that nah, that's not the story I'm gonna write after all). This fic is my essential writes itself fic. 

I don't remember exactly what the inspiration was, but I do know I culled inspiration from several things in my life while writing it. Clint's (and these are spoilers) signing books at airports comes directly from Brandon Sanderson, who does the same thing (and since he's based out of Salt Lake City, you can bet your shiny metal ass that I dragged my sister all over that airport in search of an autographed book. LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT I WAS GOING TO BE SITTING NEXT TO HIM DURING AN ACTUAL SIGNING THREE MONTHS LATER). Sanderson the doomed Chuck agent makes his way into this fic as well. Uh, Natasha being an avid reader was a headcanon I loved. And as ever, it plays with my one person is in love and the other doesn't notice usual MO.

Nickname: Eule, which is owl in German. And what my dad calls me when I do something weird, hehehe. I figure it would fit you too :)

That's pronounced just as I imagine it would be, "eule", not with an English pronounciation or anything? I like that. I like that a lot.

I did go home, and even got a little nap in while the construction crew outside were on lunch break. Now they're back to work so I'm awake.  I really gotta remember to get earplugs.  sleep was nice though.

Productivity all around, I'm proud of you! I repacked three boxes as I found out that I'll be going to a flea market on Saturday and I have books, movies and CDs to sell :) The less I pack to move, the less we'll have to schlepp, hahaha.

I'm proud of me too!  and proud of you!  downsizing before the move is an excellent idea!  I did that as well, though I still had way too much stuff, lol. I really need to go through my CDs at some point.  I have a lot I only like one song on that I should just copy that song and turf the disc.

*hugs* Ignore them, lovely. They're assholes who go out of their way to be mean, so they're probably twelve years old. Also, if you're feeling down, I suggest watching Bob's Burgers. You can't be sad when watching that show.

Thanks everyone for being so sweet to me.  Today has just been one of those days that nothing goes right (they even screwed up my order at the coffee shop.  I'm actually afraid to attempt to bake anything as I'll probably catch something on fire) and I'm really not handling it well.  You're all so amazing, though, and you have no idea how much these replies helped.  I'm so glad you're all in my life.
