Originally posted drawn May 2018 I don't normally post old stuff, much less old stuff I don't really like, but for some reason I never posted them here and I feel like I need to post something whilst I work on my exchange piece.
I updated my PL/AA button set with these guys for my second Anime North visit ~back in the day~. The art is really old... it took everything in me not to edit this but there is technically still some stock left for sale so I won't. I would like to redraw the whole set including VS (because I never added Espella), not for merch though, just cause.
You know what, it’s 2026, it’s time we have this conversation Professor Layton fandom:
Layton’s Mystery Journey is way too over hated.
Whoa, whoa, put down your pitchforks, let me explain. I won’t lie, LMJ has its fair share of major flaws; its storytelling and puzzle design suffer quite a bit. However, we can’t deny that things like the LMJ anime are actually very solid pieces of Professor Layton media that deserve far more attention than they receive. Even though I often find myself disinterested in LMJ and what it adds to the Professor Layton series, I can still find aspects of it to enjoy.
I believe a huge reason the fandom has doomed LMJ to an eternal pit is simply because we’ve been told to. Much of the hate comes from people who haven’t really experienced LMJ for what it has to offer and only have heard about how “bad” it is. I’m not saying you have to play LMJ, but at least consider watching some of the anime. I think it’s time we start realizing that even though LMJ has its fundamental flaws, it’s still a very decent game, and so is the media that surrounds it.
Redesigned/redrew the main cast of “Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy” for my rewrite even though I have NEVER played the game nor have I watched the anime and only went off of the wiki and video about it.
Drunk Thoughts #4
How many times do you think John brushed his lips with calloused fingers thinking about Sherlock and then got interrupted by him bursting into the room with a bubbling beaker and goggles on his curly little fuckin gay ass head
asking for a friend
The worst change from game to anime was removing the giant photograph of Hastings's wife in his office and replacing it with the ugly ass police commissioner.
I definitely don't have a type
