the beauty of aroaces characters that have SO MUCH love, that irradiates care on they own special way, that love the people around them SO SO SO MUCH that they can't barely say a word about it-
love that in elementary the nypd are oftentimes annoyed by sherlock but like in a fond way and appreciate his advice (most of the time). however i also like that when sherlock crosses the line gregson's fucking pissed. scorned wife behaviour. do NOT come into my house i AM getting the divorce. and sherlock's just standing there like a wounded puppy. amazing dynamic 10/10.
I’m almost at the end of the second season of Elementary and I’m having trouble. I hate the character of Mycroft so incredibly much, and them renewing his romance plot is literally more than I can stomach. I was watching this episode saying please don’t let them kiss, please no kissing, no fucking kiss. And then of course.
I’m losing respect for Watson as a character (which pains me! I love her!) and I just hate him more and more and more. I don’t care that he’s a spy, I don’t care whether he secretly likes his brother, I don’t care whether he’s a blameless and self-abnegating saint—there is literally nothing that could be written to make me sympathetic to him.
I dunno if it’s in the portrayal by the actor, the writing, his general look, some preconceived notion of the books’ character being traduced—I dunno, I just hate the bitch. He’s foul and gross and sleazy and nothing has changed that.
I wish to hell he’d fuck back off to London, exit the story permanently, and leave Joan to have a romance with someone less nauseating. If she absolutely must have a romance plot, that is. She was doing fine without one!
Sherlock Holmes from Elementary
If Sherlock Holmes (Elementary) was in Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire, which Great House of Westeros would they be part of or at least the most affiliated with?
House Targaryen
House Stark
House Lannister
House Baratheon
House Greyjoy
House Tully
House Arryn
House Martell
House Tyrell
Ways to approach the poll if the character isn’t a royal:
Joan: And you’ve turned all the pictures upside down.
Sherlock: I thought we needed a new perspective.
Joan: Because bats have solved so many homicides.
rewatching elementary and i adore that sherlock is canonically polyamorous. not even just having threesomes or anything.
there’s an episode that joan is trying not to flirt with a guy when she’s already in a relationship. and sherlock had a whole conversation where he says she shouldn’t be ashamed of her urges. he tells her it’s okay to seek a wholesome relationship, both romantically and sexually, that is still open to more people and multiple partners. he literally sits her down and essentially says “i’m polyamorous and it’s cool you should try it”
Elementary, season 1, episode 4
'It has its costs.'
'What does?'
'Learning to see the puzzle in everything. They're everywhere. Once you start looking, it's impossible to stop. It just so happens that people, and all the deceits and delusions that inform everything they do, tend to be the most fascinating puzzles of all. Of course, they don't always appreciate being seen as such.'
'Seems like a lonely way to live.'
'As I said, it has its costs.'
