Just.. 5 minutes of Sherlock and John being soft and tender and hugging on the couch together in 221b playing with eachothers hair and also please have it cut in a way that i can make it into a perfect loop and just watch it continuously until s5/the end of time

Christmas?

Okay, guys question / discussion, because I have a niggling feeling that is really getting to me.

There’s been all this talk and speculation about a possible mini-episode prior to the airing of TAB, mostly stemming from, I think, tweets by Doug MacKinnon.  We kept speculating dates that have come and gone for trailers to announce it, and much to our disappointment, we never got one.

But here’s the thing: Did we get one for Many Happy Returns, the episode that generated excitement for Season 3? See I don’t know, because I live in Canada and was not that obsessed with the show until after S3. I think, like a large chunk of us, we just WOKE UP on Christmas Day last year, and lo and behold, we got a link to an official canon-compliant mini episode.

While I am still holding my breath for a mini-episode... what great promotion would that be for TAB, to garner interest in it 5 days prior to remind us that yes, this is a thing happening very soon. You know, like MHR did.

According to Wikipedia, MHR came out on December 24th (which may be true for Wikipedia’s timezone). We’ve been getting a lot of surprise launches of trailers and information at around midnight GMT or the wee hours of the morning.

The point I’m trying to make guys, is that I think we ARE getting something on Christmas, have thought so for quite awhile now. My gut is telling me that it, at the very least, will be a FINAL TRAILER, and at the most a mini-episode. It will be aired either before or after the Doctor Who Christmas special (since most of the audience for both shows are the same) OR online.

I mean, I don’t remember the BBC ever promoting Season Three as much as they have for TAB (granted, they have a lot more at stake, what with the cinematic releases). AND they did leave all the promoting ‘til rather late (though from a media perspective, I think this was a very smart move for them). And what better way to promote your new episode than to give your fans a small little “we know you’re there” gift like MHR was. 

Sherlock has become one of BBC’s most popular franchises outside of Doctor Who. And as a thank you for that, maybe they’ve decided to start giving us, the fans, a little something for Christmas every year, to thank us for our patience.

All I’m saying is, keep your hopes up, you guys. I FEEL LIKE we’re getting a Christmas gift from BBC this year.

First of all

So what do you think? Is that the vodka glass skull? Although the third picture is the genuine Crystal Skull Vodka, I think the one John and Mary's flat resembles more to this cheap copy as it has longer necked stopper.

Of course, if someone can better this and actually find the thing in the second picture, even better.

I couldn't find any lamp that throws a smiley face on the wall in the flat. Most of the decor is same from Many Happy Returns to His Last Vow, except a few things. One of them is a lamp on the side of the sofa towards the window. The one in MHR is different than the one HLV. But I can't say anything more than that.

Oh and the vodka glass skull stayed in HLV too. Didn't quite escape the lure of 221B, did you John.
