Actually I am not angry at No.6

He is more than just a person who can be blamed for murder. He is a god, a demon of chaos, а force of nature, a shinigami. He is like a tornado destroying houses. Why would you blame a tornado?

So when he kills those three I don’t hate him for it (tho maybe they are not “completely” dead, it’s the far shore after all)

It is a war. Kids knew where they are going and who they are going to meet and fight. And who they are willing to defeat.

They made this decision themselves. And they lost. It’s fair (and square, sorry). But it’s not a vile sneaky attack from no.6. It is an open honest fight. If they are in his way, isn’t it logical he wants to kill them. This is how conflict works. And the one who is stronger, wins. Nothing to whine about.

No.6 is literally a god of death. Why would he hold back and have mercy for a bunch of worthless from his point of view kids?

And plus oh come on! He is shown as dangerous aggressive creature from his first appearance. He literally killed multiple spirits, threatened kids with eating them and stole Aoi. I mean, of course he is awful merciless creature. He is a obvious terrifying menace from the beginning.

But anyways, even so, doesn’t that make him more interesting? Why is he doing what he does? Why is he willing to take a revenge on Minamotos if he had a friend between them? What’s his real relation to Sumire? How is he connected to red house? If he used to have no personal will, why does he have it now or does he even?

Why “cancel” him if you can just enjoy the plot line?

I’m not saying he is good. He is bad and he openly declares that. And I also think so. But come on there is no need for hate. As for me, he is still intriguing, interesting, well-written character.

Grell’s possible life before dying

Here’s again another research I made. This time focused only on our favorite okamaXD

I think Grell’s life before commit suicide is probably one of the most demanding info fans want to know, besides Undertaker’s. Grell is such an unique character, which you don’t find in other titles. 

Anyway we don’t know how long a grim reaper is in the trainer period, before becoming professional grim reaper. We can only guess.

The facts we know about Grell (William) is 1799 was the date where both pass their final exam. 

So Grell died before that. In the Ova (The Story of Will the Reaper) we see him in a redcoat. I did little research. There’s no exact 1to1 British Empire uniform like Grell’s, but I noticed, that Officers from late 1750′ ~ 1790′ the British Empire Infantry started to wear knee long coats and had a red/black/white color combination. That means it could be our Grell died during that time. That’s one part.

The other part is I found out is, between the 18th and 19th century, there were places called “Molly-houses” in London; tavern/pub/coffee/brothel house were gay men could socialize with others or meet for sexual partners. At that time homosexual activities was illegal, so the whole scene was kept underground. The subculture was well organized, but if suspected they often got raids and arrests. 

While there’s no facts about soldiers going to these molly houses, there was a married homosexual man in the late 1720′ who frequently picked up soldiers and went to these places to have sex, but also raided these, since he was a hired private policeman (thief-taker). 

Now that everything is set, we could guess with this informations how Grell probably could have live and commit suicide. There are many possibilities. Either they were an Officer and went into a molly house in secret and was found out, got arrested, but before the trail commit suicide, or some sick man picked them up and thrown them away afterwards. Or they had a partner in one of these molly houses, it got raided, the partner was hanged and they got depressed to the point he couldn’t take it anymore. Or they were a worker of the molly house. The final part is of the method of how they killed themselves...I would say either by hanging or like many guess from the one panel in a chapter cutting the wrist. By many illustrations and reading, hanging was the most used method in that time, but who knows if that’s true in Grell’s case...
