“People only ship Kirumi and Korekiyo for the aesthetic”

Is a silly argument to me.

In short, no.

But as a whole, there’s more to it than pretty fanart potential. In some ways though, there’s truth to that. (Not that anyone asked)

Don’t you just wonder if maybe, they were meant to aesthetically go together for a reason? Up for interpretation

Is there a reason that several of their sprites are actually mirrored versions of each other? Also up for interpretation

Or that Korekiyo’s free time events in chapter 2 are in Kirumi’s lab? (He claimed that it was because he likes the Victorian aesthetic, but again. There could be more reasons)

Perhaps that both Kirumi and Korekiyo have called the other ‘beautiful’ in canon materials? Y’know. As in being into eachother’s AESTHETICS. (Kirumi in Kiyo’s relationship chart; Kiyo after the second trial)

Coincidence, sure. But this is fandom. KiruKiyo shippers will keep dreaming with the crumbs we’re given. And shipping ‘for the aesthetics’ isn’t quite the dismissive argument people think it is.
