#ship appreciation

These illustrations made me realise something about Giyushino as a ship (also look how beautiful these are!).

One of the many things I like about this ship is how they both are very professional-behaviour-coded characters, like you can easily imagine these two as suave and silent professionals despite different personalities who can fit into a number of roles that require gravitas...it always fits quite well when they are written in serious, heavy and high-profile roles in fanfiction, it doesn't feel ooc, in fact very natural for these two to have professions or jobs that require calm, poise but a certain level of seriousness and gravity! a quiet but alluring dynamic...

I guess one of the most running portrayals of these two in different AUs is them being a quiet, magnetic and silently powerful couple...I like despite Shinobu being more social and chatty than Tomioka carried this subtext of actually being a quiet person herself whose outward extroverted-ness cannot conceal a more subdued and quaint demeanor underneath...

one thing i love about growing up and maturing is rewatching a show and going oh wait this ship is better lmfao. happened so hard with dan and blair. and dont get me wrong i loved chuck and blair a lot and they have a lot of chemistry im not gonna pretend like i didnt like them/they still dont have their moments. but now with my brain i can be smart and go. oh this takes place in the real world. i actually love blair as a character. she deserves that diva from brooklyn to watch movies and discuss literature with. she actually deserves a beautiful healthy relationship with someone to evolve with. dan shut gossip girl down for her after the accident. dan and blair have always reached out for each other for really specific schemes. they're two sides of the same coin. theyve always had to work for what they wanted. they're best friends. dan and blair actually changed and evolved together. they had each other's backs. in episode 4 of the entire show they had dan empathize with blair in that hallway scene. but it's good i thought they were annoying when i was younger! now i have a new ship to obsess about now that im an adult lol

man i wish chuck died or something because i love chair but more so i think they shouldn't have gotten married. endgame derena is worse than endgame chair that pisses me off more. no dan you're blair's wife you were always supposed to be.

also dan and blair are so season 1 rufilly more so than dan and serena. dan and serena were young rufilly maybe but peak rufilly? nuh uh. lily is more like blair, also.

lowkey i think chuck shouldn't have married anyone his familial relationships with lily and serena were so much more interesting to me? early s5 when serena and nate just hung out with chuck was so fun and nice and chuck never could do a relationship without being evil and shit

i can just imagine ale and noah teasing tyler because all those times he said he liked girls, and look where he ended up- in a poly relationship with TWO guys.

tall (tyler) x medium (ale) x short (noah)

noah is forced to sleep in the middle whenever they all sleep together. it's either the middle or the very high chances of rolling off the bed. it's because its the shortest. (they/it noah hc sorry)

out of the three of them, tyler is the clingiest (secretly ale)

tyler once accidentally broke alejandro's necklace (the bull one specifically) and start to sob and had to go to noah for help, luckily noah used to work at a jewelry store so they kinda had a hoard of necklaces so it was easily able to find a similar looking one. the only difference was that it was a unicorn. to this day, ale still hasn't noticed yet.

alejandro has a habit of leaving notes whenever tyler and noah aren't around so he can inform them where he went (work, store, etc) but sometimes he doesn't realize that he wrote it in spanish so by the time he's back tyler and noah are still trying to figure what that one word is (they refuse to use a translator, they want to learn spanish)

they all argued over a color once. maybe twice.
