When I read peacefic I interpret it as peasific like pea and the second part of the word pacific. So like peace sea.

Also I think people against peacefic or peaceshipping are a bit lack luster to put it rather nicely. I don't get why people to love harassing others for simply liking or not liking something.

Especially in this case, theres no harm being done on your end.

People should learn that mean comments should be kept to themselves.

it's fictional yes but its been used to hurt real people, CHILDREN countless times. imagine if people had this take with futas

obviously i dont believe people's perception on fiction should be compared to their perception on real life. but people are still allowed to not want to associate with people theyve been hurt by, and regardless of any of this, while you shouldnt "repent" for being a paraphile you should be able to handle the actual harmful topics around your paraphilia responsibly

i know this blog is more about the plural community and it doesn't focus on medical dissociative identity disorder or any kind of shipping discourse, but would you consider it pluralphobia or ableism/anti-mental illness if someone told me that i should kill/hurt myself/that i deserve to be retraumatized for writing and reading disturbing fanfiction?

Yeah I’d say so. Even if I’m creeped out by a lot of darkship content (e.g. stuff involving children, inc*st, abusive dynamics) I can give the benefit of the doubt that somebody may be writing them to process their own trauma or as a safe outlet for a paraphilia which would be harmful to act upon in real life. It’s not always pluralphobia or sanism but it can be if you suibait somebody for writing or reading fanfic.

I avoid shipping discourse for my own personal comfort and I also refuse to use my literature-philosophy degrees to solve fandom related moral dilemmas. Never come to me thinking I'll provide something insightful about it based on my field of studies. This will be literally the only time I will mention shipping discourse on my blog, but I am morbidly curious on how anybody will accommodate for me, the guy who ships quantum theories. Problematic conceptual aversion gap. Problematic PhilPapers paper count gap.

i know ur probably getting tired of asks related to this sort of discourse. but there's gotta be some kind of innate fictophobia in a lot of the "plural allies" we meet being proship. like youre gonna look at me being a fictional character and tell me fiction doesnt have an effect on people?

Side note: there has to be a better way to discuss the “fiction affects reality” debate. Because fiction does have an impact on reality, but at the same time it’s not that important in the grand scheme of things.
