People who declare that lexa was manipulating Clarke and that #clexa was toxic need to reconsider their interpretation of true love. Whether you shiped clexa or not, whether you re straight or not. You cannot distort something fundamentally pure because it suits you to do so. You cannot judge the outcome by the beginning. Why would you ship bellarke even though bellamy wanted to kill clarke in season 1? Because he CHANGED. That's why. People change you know. Lexa became softer to honor Clarke's ideas.

Bottomline: Fans need to have a clear head before they criticize someone or a ship.
