Shirou Ogami x Reader Coldest Night of the Year (short version)
Shirou awakens to you shivering in bed. He forgot that humans don’t have the convenience of a fur coat. Both of you were under two blankets already, but it wasn’t enough to keep you from shaking. Shirou throws his half of the blankets over you. He waits and watches, but you’re still shivering. Finally, he calls out your name.
“Hmmm?” you say groggily.
“What? Oh no, I’m fine.” You pat his hand to reassure him, but as soon as he feels your fingers, he doesn’t let go.
“Your hand feels like ice,” Shirou states flatly. “You can’t sleep like this.” His nose twitches as he thinks.
“You don’t seem cold at all.”
“I’m a beastman. I have a—” He breaks off suddenly. “I have an idea.” He pulls you to him and soon, you’re nestled against a mane of fur. Before long, you’re warm all over.
He shrugs. “The blankets weren’t enough and it’s a three-dog night out there. I wanted to make sure I did everything I could to keep you warm.”
“I don’t need three dogs,” you murmur, drifting off to sleep again. “I have you.”
