Tihi I will be going to fandom hell for this.
Anyhow WIP I guess. Wanted to do some character Art for the shit script. Ended up doing some environmental renders which I intend to enrich with characters. And give a proper work over . Did most of the models for the club one but got 'lazy' and used blendkit for the museum one.
[movie script stuffs!] I have questions!! not many because it's 1am right now but I'm formulating more, did they do anything with the four horsemen of the apocalypse? anything at all? or did they just look Death in the eyes, sigh and tell him they didn't have the time or budget or care about him? I need to know!! (also just any random snippets you obsess over or think about would be so so lovely, hope you have the most wonderful day/night!! :] ❤)
Nope, they made an appearance at Satan's side, said their hello, Death got to spin a little globe around and were promptly vanished by Adam after saving Aziraphale and Crowley while giving his "I am not doing it and you are not my dad" speech. However one interesting note, and a bit of speculation on my part is; Pollution is described as "A white thing dripping with ooze" which does not contradict the book description or anything BUT seeing how in the book Pollution uses he/him pronouns, being described as unmemorable while implying ambiguousness and how in the script gender specific language is used for the other horseman, I believe this could already have been the appearance of explicit nonbinary Pollution. But again that's just speculation and over analysis of language on my part.
As for snippets, got a good selection of them tbh. Every part of that atrocity either triggers my pattern recognition for how it tries to fit pieces of the source into new ways that don't quite fit or because, and again I can't stress enough how much the greater fandom will probably hate me for saying this, there are glimpses of things that will carry over in to the TV show and you can't unsee them once you realize it. If those stem from the script that had been written before and that we don't have access to, if it even still exists, or are just because of the author's subconscious, remains an open question.
However if I had to choose for the heck of it, the price for living rent free in my head would go to Crowley pretend flirting in the mirror, because it's just such a strange thing to pack in there and absolutely 100% absurd while also beautifully dorky.
Followed second by Anathema trying to hide her dagger from Adam behind her back, contemplating her life's choice and to bring herself to do what needs to be done (in her mind). It's beautifully dramatic and would have been a good scene under different circumstances. But also just the thought that she was absolutely ready to murk a child and only got qualms bc it turned out to be a child she liked.
And finally third, the one where Aziraphale just feels something is off with Crowley (got summoned into hell) and starts to run. It's so absurd and out of left field. And the imagery is just funny idk.
Honorable mention goes definitely to Aziraphale and Crowley having a walk on the beach, with Aziraphale taking to paddling on the water's edge. While it rains. And they have black and white umbrellas. Got ruined by Crowley idly kicking in Aziraphale's sand projection tho.

An other shit script thing that keeps me awake at night:
What the fuck is up with alpha centauri in that version?
It's supposed to be a place demons get promoted to. Satan literally is like "yhea why this fucking Planet (earth) couldn't God like care about somewhere interesting like Alpha Centauri ✨💅?". There is apparently enough of something going on up there that Crowley has an imaginary flirt in the mirror in preparation of going there.... But then Crowley also mentions that he wants to go on the run hiding there ?!
Alpha Centauri is a walking contradiction in this version. On the one hand Satan himself is all hyped for it and has apparently a few demon's stationed there, enough to promote Crowley to fiend in extraordinary if he went , on the other hand it's supposed to be the first place Crowley thinks of when going on the. And apparently it has restaurants and wine too. Crowley only mentions it not having GOOD restaurants and NO DECENT bottles or wine, so it Does have restaurants. At least that would be the insinuation. And I guess also a nightlife since the imaginary flirt thing?!
So, question is : what's up there and what exactly convinced him that staying on earth ( a planet that script!Crowley mentions to hate) is worth it? I mean Aziraphale cheated to win the challenge and Crowley knew about it. So there was nothing keeping him from not honoring the bet. I guess because the audience wouldn't have known about Crowley knowing and it would have been assumed that the viewer gives Crowley enough credit for integrity that it would have been believed.... then again we will never know bc it was never made and one simply acting choice could absolutely spoil the reveal of him knowing. Quite honestly it would have been so deserved (I wanted to say ironic but that would insinuate that the script had enough consistency for that) if Script!Crowley would have ended up going to Alpha centauri and finding it all the things he hated about earth but tenfold.

I have to admit I am still obsessed with the shit script. (And no I don't have it, don't even ask, it appeared to me in a dream about university libraries)
And I am probably alone in this corner, partially because most people haven't read the full thing (understandably), partially because people emphasize certain parts too much and partially bc the fandom pretty unanimously agreed it has to be a certain way BUT script!Crowley isn't half the asshole people make them out to be. Just as script!Aziraphale isn't half that demsel in distress people like to paint them ass.
Yes the most commonly known interactions between the two, that are floating around and that most will have seen are grim to put it lightly BUT there are other parts of the script that can give you a whole different perspective of the characters.
Script!Crowley is an asshole sure, but he is also a character that works if you remember that he is a great a coward. Bro is squirming and bootlicking like a champion, putting up that facade of big bad 'i hate everything' demon while in actuality being a rather incompetent loser. The dialogue doesn't state it but he does care for his employees, to the point of having a show off moment throwing out a person, he as demon should whole heartily want to be there for all the bad they are causing, he even learned his employees names which you wouldn't expect from the persona he otherwise puts on. He even has a sweet moment with madam Tracy, offering her a birthday party and asking her to take care of the boy. So he does care he just would rather run away and hope for the consequences to never catch up to him than to state so openly. Also the one time script!crowley is drunk, he is incredibly docile and not at all like the asshat persona ... So there is that.
And for script! Aziraphale, well people sleep on how sassy this version probably could be if he had more 'screen time' outside of emergency situations. And what I mean by that is the first and the last interaction we get between Azi and Crowley is Azi sassing Crowley. Pointing out that's just like a demon to always be complaining and telling Crowley to not start this again when presented with an apple. Script!Aziraphale is not oblivious, he isn't naive or helpless, he simply chooses to not acknowledge the 'bad' parts (best example Crowley's cheating at checkers). But he also isn't above reminding Crowley about his inherent doomedness of him being a demon or striking a deal with a drunk Crowley while being sober himself. (In a sense script!Azi is exactly what some accuse tv!Azi to be).
In general Script!Crowley only gets nasty if stressed and inturn script!Aziraphale get hurt. Or does he really? (And yes this is just interpretation and since we don't have an acted out version you can interpret a lot into the script sooo uhm take this with as many grains of salt as you can) Again Aziraphale is of the opinion, that Crowley is inherently doomed, excuses his cheating with playing along and gives of the vibe of being at least slightly judgemental about Crowleys drinking habit. He is taking on the role of the Optimist in this version. An optimist that also cares unconditionally about Crowley. An optimist that calls someone giving their floor ice cream to another a good deed while also doing artwork authentication knowing that people just want to scam others. To me it reads more like someone who just knows how to push the other's button. Because without fail (well except the last time ) those emotional responses from Aziraphale lead to Crowley faltering and giving in and usually for Aziraphale to instantly switch moods after. And the one time it doesn't work, Aziraphale digs deep and pushes another button, even going so far as pointing out that he knew all along that Crowley only ever won because he was cheating. That is not a helpless naive damsel. That is an undercover bastard.
I could go on writing a full character analysis from that shit script bc hot damn I got more things to say BUT I won't. Also yes even if it ever got to the screen and with a few edits this version would probably just have been mediocre and I am happy we eventually got the TV show HOWEVER I have a soft spot for bad media, I love good omens and overanalyzing on 'screen' relationship and character dynamics is my hobby so it's just natural I got obsessed with it.
Also please for the love of someone, if there is someone out there at least slightly as obsessed with the shit script as I am, please, please, please get in touch. I have no one to talk about it otherwise pfff
Quite honestly, I think I have the same kind of appreciation for the final that I do have for the shit!script.
I like it well enough for what it is, and I am a sucker for how dysfunctional the power dynamics are and all that. BUT DAMN I will gladly point out all the flaws and how it goes against the original point of the book.
RN the final is just too fresh to really show the appreciation. Plus you gotta give the shit! script that it doesn't pretend to not be miserable at its core.
