FORMAL MEETING RE CONTRACT CHANGE.

For the most part they agreed on the fact the contract was vague and changes can be made to safeguard me.

We talked about the fact I was kinda forced back to work in a place that wasn't really well prepared in terms of the safety guidelines, that I have been feeling highly anxious and stressed and how they aren't really discussing any changes they are making but just throwing them at us quite suddenly (basically yesterday they decided we aren't turning anyone away for tests if they are planning on spending money, it's questionable if they are allowed to do this or not)

They then insinuated that they didn't want it to become and issue of my fulfillment in my job role (basically telling me to do what they say or they will try and say I'm not doing what's expected and can fire me) they said that I wasn't jumping into work enough, taking handovers after tests and dispensing (baring in mind that only started yesterday) and that the other guy I work with made all the money yesterday. I asked them how much admin he did, how may patients he called (we have to call people to take history and symptoms now) and how often he left for the day with a lot of admin not done and people waiting for call backs, I pointed out I pick up a lot of the work he isn't doing, I make sure everyone gets a call back and I fix any issues, so it works both ways. But they are more focused on me making money.

So today I did all the dispensing, I ignored all the admin and I didn't pick up any of the work he hasn't done, didn't call anyone who I hadn't directly dealt with. I got praised for being so good and "working hard" (it's honestly the least amount of work I have done since I've been back) so I'll continue making money and see how long it takes them to realise I've been the one making sure we aren't getting a bunch of people making complaints that they are being ignored, misinformed and totally forgotten.

They have always been less focused on the admin side of the and honestly don't realise how much it impacts the business. I know full well the guy that "makes all the money" is also making massive mistakes that are going to result in massive refunds in a few months time and a lot of very unhappy people, I tried to talk to him about it, but he doesn't take advice. So I'll leave that for him to deal with it and won't pick up the things I usually would.

Honestly I'm happy to play dumb at this point and do exactly what they ask and stop doing what I usually do to help, it might be days or weeks maybe even months before they realise it's going to have a negative impact, because they only look at numbers. but I'm just doing what I was told, I can say it does make life easier to not give a shit about things that actually matter and actually impact the business in the long run!
