what is it with Yuhki Kamatani manga always kicking you in the feels. I need tissues and it’s only volume 1!
more kids acting their age (i.e, like little shits)
so harsh and for what lmao
for as much praise is heaped upon Kamatani’s work there’s two things that i admire that i don’t think i’ve ever really think i’ve seen anyone mention, the first being their sense of comedy, and the second being their almost frightfully accurate way of depicting children- that is to say, as little shits
if you enjoyed The Colors Within i really recommend you read Shonen Note, a manga by Yuhki Kamatani that also has a protagonist with synesthesia which is reflected by the artist representing music and emotion via absolutely stunning visuals
Shonen Note: Boy Soprano
239. Shonen Note: Boy Soprano, Vol. 8 - licensed - Everything changes in this final volume - voices crack, senpais graduate, referendums pass, classmates move - but the feeling at the end is still hopeful that everyone will find their own way. Honestly one of the most beautiful manga I've ever read.
