I’ve been experimenting with native plant gardening, and I was delighted that my shooting-stars overwintered well! This plant was called Dodecatheon pulchellum when I bought it, but the species has been reclassified as Primula pauciflora. They don’t look like a classic garden primrose, but they’re a hardy and striking flower!
