When you’re at a concert and someone taller than you stands in front of you
The thorns after the death...
Alan: "Come on Eric... let me hold you..." Eric: "I don' deserve tha Alan..." "Yes you do..!" The stubborn smaller reaper held his arms open for his long time best friend. They both cared so much for each other, everyone in the dispatch knew that it wasn't just friendship... And Eric failed to see how the others had forgiven him for killing those 1000 innocent souls. "I donnae a' all!" Eric threw his spectacles careless across the room and Alan sighed at the act. This was usual. When Eric got upset he acted first and thought second. It hurt Alan but he knew it would hurt Eric even more if he told him so, which made the younger reaper keep it to himself. Better one hurt than two hurting... "Why don't you deserve that..?" Alan questioned and Eric hid his face in his hands. "'Cause Alan....." the Scotsman cut himself off. "...Eric..." Alan caressed his cheek. "Alan... mi sunshine..." "It will be alright my blossom..." "Nae... Willnae cause... cause I pu' th' lighs' out fer ye...." Eric broke down again. Alan sighed and simply wrapped his thin arms around the other male. He liked to pretend still. That his touch and embrace could be felt by the other. That he wasn't just a memory. "It will be alright Eric..." Alan whispered. "I'm here, alive... we are a family forever..." "Nae... ye kno' is not true Alan..!" Eric ended up closing the book in his lap in the burst of rage at the thought of Alan being gone. Doing so he cut the cinematic record and the image of Alan faded away. William let Eric have the cinematic records of Alan as an agreement that the man himself would stay and do his job as a reaper despite the other being gone. Talking to the memories of Alan was all he had left... reviewing the cinematic records over and over. His heart was aching and he welcomed the feeling... It meant that the thorns had him too... and he could soon join Alan in a way the others wouldn't see coming until it would be too late. He would finally get peace. Finally get to see Alan again, and feel his embrace. Finally would he get the most beautiful death in the world...
I have a feeling
and I wish it would go away
but it hasn't
I hope it doesn't stay
I would like to point out, for the record, t HAT I AM NOT SHORT, EVERYONE ELSE IS JUST TALLER THAN ME.
