Amara is trapped in a giant snake bind and the citizens are experiencing apocalyptic tornadoes, storms and floods. The elders report to Ushasu that the citizens are in trouble and Ushasu says they will wait to be saved. And then Benares' men break in to capture her, fucks up Negurooni and the rest and the one general says he'll spare them if she'll come along. Finally, when one warrior is about to be crushed, the chapter ends with Yakumo saving her and ready to fight.
Nobody knows where Ushasu and her Wu came from but they created Amara together. From the scenery to the life...but she hates ugly things! But Latori loves them...so she's in jail for that. That jail is Nakara, a place underneath Amara. If they free her, they'll piss off Ushasu...and it looks like they already did, since the chapter ends with the place rumbling with Ushasu apparently attacking them.
It’s the eve of Season 21. Normally, before a Season, I repost the last Season’s end point standings, as a reminder of where we left off. Thanks to our esteemed former Director of Fun Sidney Bakabella, we’ve been left with a complete blank slate, so that’s not necessary this time.
Our Grand Champion is still Dasher Hatfield. He has made three official defenses of the Grand Championship, with his last being against the Whisper at last Season’s finale, Tug of War.
Our Campeonatos de Parejas are Willow Nightingale and Solo Darling, collectively known as the Bird and the Bee. They defeated F.I.S.T. (Travis Huckabee and Tony Deppen), also at Tug of War. As they are newly crowned, they have yet to make a defense, and with the point standings having been wiped they likely won’t defend for a while.

I don’t know if it’s because I dialed down my expectations because of all the ‘meh’ live blog reactions I saw, but I really liked the season finale of The Originals. They wrapped up a LOT of storylines, which pretty much leaves season 3 to go in any direction the writers want (with Davina probably being the big bad, although I’m not really seeing that at the moment). As I saw other people remarking, this would have also been a great episode to end the show with. Thank heavens they didn’t though...
Points I really liked:
- Elijah being through with Klaus. The punch was well deserved, as well as him not being around for Klaus’s “I love it when a plan comes together” moment with Rebekah. I also really liked that they addressed the ‘Elijah sized hole’ and the fact that Klaus glanced at the empty seat when Rebekah left.
- Dahlia’s trick with the white oak stake. Did anyone see that coming? I know I didn’t! Also, the WOS is now out of the picture, where are the witches clamouring about imbalance and all that now that Klaus and his siblings have no cause of death to speak of anymore?
- Rebekah choosing alt!Rebekah’s body for the foreseeable future. Thereby choosing her own happiness AND spitting in Klaus’s face for trying to force her into his preferred version (but still having the original!Rebekah body as backup, cause mortality is highly overrated).
I did find it slightly disappointing that Elijah was back at the compound at the end of the episode, but I understand he could never not look after Hope. And he’s definitely not there for Klaus. Also, I’m SO here for snarky!Elijah in season 3. Please make that last for at least the first five episodes!
Woke up, upset. DIscussion and conference for two.
Things are okay. Nap. Lots of sleeping. So cold outside. Nuggets and hot choco for breakfast prior to napping. Wake up. 3. Play Halo, XBox games. Finish movie. Get ratchet.
Going to In-and-Out, meet up with Kelsey, Akash, Lauryn, and Munfarid.
Bring Bruce. Ice on windshield, hard to see. Sitting outside is hell frozen over. So full.
