--Maui--
“Run, Moana...”
“A fight between the two greatest demigods of the South Pacific is bound to be a messy one...”
--Moana--
Her eyebrows tilted in concern.
“Maui--”
--Maui--
“I mean it! RUN!”
Alas, even a demigod of the tide and sea cannot withstand a storm as harsh as this.
When me and Maui fight, we fight.
--Maui--
He stared my directly in the eyes and said “You eat me... and I’m cutting you right open from the inside...”
“Well~” My voice grew formidable. “I could always chew you instead.”
“I’d get more flavor out of that~” a deep chuckle rumbled in my throat.
Maui kept his stance.
Every time I came a little closer, he held his hook out sturdier and sturdier. And he backed away further and further until his back was met with the wall of my lair. Though he found his hook overheating slightly by the stirring of its magic.
--Maui--
“...you’ll have to steal my hook before you could eat me....”
“...you crazed crustacean...” He took a deep breath and squinted as his hook overheated. “...I’m not afraid to rip off another limb or two--”
“Then so BE it.”
“With my awesome power, you don’t stand a chance~”
“Oh demigod or NOT, I could still easily squish you like a grape between my pincers. And nobody would hear you scream for help down here in Treacherous Toa’s CAVERN.”
That speech of mine was followed by an evil laugh.
--Maui--
His mouth curved to a determined smile.
”Let’s go, ol’ ‘friend’”
The deimigod shifted to a giant hawk (not surprisingly), flying towards my claw fearlessly.
His talons glowed light blue as he held them in a position to strike.
That was unfortunate for him. With my pincers, I grabbed him by the wing and held him to my face.
”Oh poor little Maui~” I spoke while giving an unsettling smile.
”You just don’t intimidate like you use to.”
The demigod shifted back to his normal self, but his arm still caught.
