Can I request Horangi, Velikan, Nikto and Gaz being friends with a gn sociopath reader who likes to stick around them to observe how "normal" people act?

a/n: sure!! I finished this one but I forgot to post it and it deleted all my progress :(. This could be read as friends or partners so/

-genuinely didn’t notice till someone pointed out how you don’t truly interact with him, more so following him around like an experiment? Bu you were close to him so he ignored it

-doesn’t mind it, truly. Friendship is friendship and company is company, even if your a bit odd about it

-noticed the second you started copying his postures and acts, but didn’t think to bring it up

-he genuinely enjoyed your silent company even if it was built off of something other then care, so he didn’t talk of it and neither did you. Like I silent agreement

-probably originally became friends with you for a similar reason, but I guess two of a feather flock together?

-you both kind of manage to understand each other in the slightest due to your shared natures, which is why you two make such a good team and close to each other

gaz:

-a bit confused and creeped out by your less then normal ways of thinking, but not enough to stop hanging out with you after noticing it

-got used to it after a while, dewing you as a bit different then others but close to him none the less

Does Galatea from JLU have a place in the BronzeRealms? She's clearly based on Power Girl design-wise, but she's so drastically different character-wise that just rolling her into PG seems... dishonest, almost.

Yes, they just both exist separately.

Power Girl is Kara Zor-El from another universe, who goes by Karen Starr in her secret identity. She's the CEO of StarrWare, a video game hardware developer known for making really, really good but rather niche and/or unconventional (read: uselessly technical to 90% of players) peripherals and controllers. Also she's married to the mainstream universe's Helena Wayne (a time traveler).

Galatea is a clone of Kara Zor-El created by Cadmus. She was deliberately costumed to be able to pose as Power Girl. She went rogue from Cadmus, operated as an independent villain for a time, and then fell into a deep depression and flew deep into the mountains of Kunlun. She found the mystical temple hidden in the mountain caves and trained with the monks there to control her anger, and also channel her chi. In relatively recent years she has returned to mainstream society under a new secret identity as Paige Stetler, but for the moment is largely (but not totally successfully) staying out of superhero/supervillain affairs.

Oscar Pine & Lying

Anyone else find it rather interesting that fans have headcanon that Oscar despises the concept of lying or hiding truths when he himself have done that exact same. Albeit. Not as often as Ozpin or the Ozcarnations have done

He didn’t tell the others that Oz was back because he still needed to talk with Oz before he told them. Which is more so withholding information

Then the most obvious one is that he lied to Salem about how to access the Lamp. Of which Salem was able to see in seconds

Which I’m not saying neither were a bad thing. If anyone has a right to tell a little white lie or hide something, it’s Oscar. I’m just listing those as an examples of the times he’s actively lied.

But the most famous ones and also most heartbreaking that Oscar tells or doesn’t tell or voice about himself, that he’s okay, or talking about himself at all, when it’s very clearly that he’s not,

Salem was right in a way, even if he doesn’t do it as often, lies do come out of him easily.

CORSETS AND STRIPED STOCKINGS:  OUTFITTING THE ASYLUM FOR WAYWARD VICTORIAN GIRLS by She Fights Like A Girl 

Welcome to a brand new series exploring the design and history of the costumes used throughout Emilie Autumn’s career! This is structured to be a general overview of how costumes were made and designed over the years, and how one style evolved into the next. But don’t scroll through too quickly! PART I: ENCHANT & THE FAERIE QUEENE

“If from the height of space you dare to fall, You’re sure to find the meaning of it all…” - The Enchant Puzzle

Let’s take a look back to the turn of the century: 2000 and 2001, when Emilie was a featured model for “Enchant Clothing and Costume.” There’s a lot of information around about this company and its origins available online, but in the interest of not digging up any graves, I’ll be restricting my coverage to a few times.

First: the Victorian Corset.

This is a single thread that spans across eras. It was there at the very beginning and kept on appearing well into the early Opheliac Era, even being featured on Emilie’s second poetry publication, Your Sugar Sits Untouched. 

It was one piece in an expansive wardrobe designed with Baroque, Rococo, and Victorian influence. The second signature item was the dress below, featured on one copy of the “Violin promo” (Emilie’s teenage classical demo album) and in the lost violin podcast from the Early Opheliac era.

Pushing on into the “Enchant Era,” we saw a full fledged faerie burst out onto the fantasy-pop-rock scene. Off stage, her style was more faerie-rock than victoriandustrial, matched with the bright pink hair her fandom would grow accustomed to for years. Onstage, she wore hand-made faerie ensembles, often matched with a pair of wings and sparkling accessories. 

As far as the production of these pieces, there isn’t much to say. A lot of her costumes were reportedly obtained via second-hand stores, either in fabric or clothing form, which she would then alter herself (as seen with one of the dresses above, notably worn on tour with Courney Love & The Chelsea).

However, there is something to say about how EA made her wings! She was featured on HGTV’s Crafter’s Coast to Coast, showcasing the way she made faerie wings and soaps. 

Shortly before 2013’s Fight Like A Girl World Tour, Emilie teased Moth’s faerie wings online with process photos - but we’ll talk about those later. 

Then, of course, there’s the Enchant Wings and the Faerie Queene herself, and all the prizes one might win from 2003′s “Enchant Puzzle.”

These prizes remain unclaimed, but they are one of the final notes left behind from this era. Enchant was a love song to medieval design and fantasy folklore, brought to the modern era on the strings of a violin. 

But by the end of 2004, we were already starting to say goodbye to the Faerie Queene as Emilie began work on her new album, Opheliac, and her Shakespearian influences began to mix with industrial alt-rock. The heart under her eye appeared during her last Enchant concert in October 2004. During her time with Courtney Love & The Chelsea, she debuted an iconic white top on The Tonight Show (2004), and later appeared on WGN alongside Billy Corgan in some familiar striped stockings.

It was with this that the faerie wings were stored away and the fandom would have to turn their backs on the enchanted forests from whence they’d come, faced instead with the tall, jagged spikes of the gates of a place only known as “The Asylum.”

Limelight picked him up and set him on top of himself. “Which do you prefer to go by then? Skyburner or Skyflight?”

Skyburner’s optics had widened a bit in surprise. He’d never really felt affection much before, but it felt nice. He found himself pushing back into Limelight, enjoying his arms being around his body. “I’d like to be called Skyflight in private places. If the police hear my actual name, then they’ll immediately interrogate me. I can’t handle the anxiety that come with it. The last time I was in one of those interrogation rooms, I nearly shut down from the sheer amount of stress.”

Limelight hugged tighter, “I’ll keep that in mind. Since you’ve told me your story, I’m willing to join the ‘Cons. I just need you to take me into a med-bay to get the mark.

Skyburner had stopped everything just to enjoy the hug he was getting. It was the nicest gesture he’d experienced in a while and he didn’t want it to end.
