HE’S NOT ENTIRELY INCORRECT ,  THOUGH .   alas, even the beautiful have their responsibilities- i know that better than most. the paperwork at hand is important, sure, but at least it’s easy. finish those bad boys and he gets the fuck out of sherwood- as do i. 

“ you’re ALSO too handsome to not graduate. c’mon, where’s that can-do attitude you had just a few months ago? ”  said attitude is a dig at schemes and murder, but i’m (AGAIN!) not wrong; can’t deny when the man has a plan he gets the job done.

I FINISH MY OWN GRADUATION FORMS WITHOUT STRUGGLE -  obviously. anything to get the hell out of here, and soon. he’s the only real reason i didn’t try to graduate early; you never desert your brothers in the trenches, plus i don’t know if i’d trust him not to enact his final revenge if i wasn’t constantly smacking his nose about it. 

“ the faster you get them done, the faster we’ll be gone. and the faster we can find an apartment in mass, and the faster we can get away from your dad, and the faster we can- ”  hopefully, my rambling will be motivation enough for him. either that, or he’ll get it done just to shut me up. no matter what, i win- as per usual.

FUCK THAT -  I’M NOT GOING TO HELL .   i roll my eyes at him when he tries his dramatics again; sometimes it sounds like he’s about to start waxing poetic about what we’ve done, even if he’s agreed to put a stop to it all. there’s relapses in judgement, i’m well aware- but for fuck’s sake, he doesn’t need to indulge. and i won’t be letting him slip and pull me down with him. 

                             besides- jews don’t really believe in hell.                              i basically have a get-out-of-jail-free card.

I GUESS THIS WAS PART OF THE PACKAGE .  you want the edgy badboy, you’ve gotta handle some damaged goods. to his credit, he’s been honest and genuine about trying to manage some of his more ...  INTENSE emotions, but i’m still always a little on edge whenever he makes his jokes. he might be handling the loss of life pretty alright, but i’m having trouble repressing everything necessary to pretend to be normal again.

 the  situation  had  escalated  quickly,  an  off  -  handed  comment  made  about  tara,  paired  with  the  personality  of  a  boy  who  responded  with  rage,  it  was  no  wonder  they  were  face  to  face  now.   stress  was  beginning  to  mount,  students  being  called  in  for  questioning  as  they  sat  in  homeroom,  classes  all  but  being  cancelled  as  they  all  waited  for  their  turn.   whispers  were  already  beginning  to  make  their  way  through  the  masses,  rumors  of  who  was  seen  where,  or  who  was  the  most  likely  to  be  involved.   one  name  in  particular  continued  to  pop  up  though,  and  that  was  jason  dean.  

 chad’s  shoulders  roll  back  and  square,  the  difference  in  height  between  the  two  all  to  evident  in  the  moment.   and  his  fists  ball  at  his  sides,  head  tilting  slightly  as  brows  pinch.     “   you  really  think  that  anyone  here  actually  believes  that  ?   ”     he  asks,  taking  a  step  closer  to  the  other  so  that  the  conversation  remains  distinctly  their  own.     “   see,  i  think  you  know  exactly  what  happened  last  night.   ”

           short & spectacled girl gestures vaguely behind her, toward the door. annette was just sent by the school librarian to find a teacher, only to find another student in an empty classroom. she always underestimates how quietly she walks, till someone else is startled by her. (force of habit. she already exists as an unpleasant reminder of her own existence -- keeping her sound & involvement at a minimum is preferable. she forgets that other people don’t like being so quiet.) “i-i -- i just ... um. the ... door. i -- i saw you, & i was -- was, um. c -- curious ... ‘cause you were. uh. by ... by yourself.” 

          not to mention she is also by herself, but it’s different. she’s always by herself. it’d be more concerning if she wasn’t.

that gets - - - of ALL THINGS - - - a choked laugh as two hands run shaky through her hair and snag on tangles near the ends of the strands. she shouldn’t be laughing. rachel rocks back on her heels and takes in a long, slow breath that quivers and dips even as she tries oh-so-very-hard to be EVEN. steady is not a word in her vocabulary. her hands free themselves from her hair ( ripping some strands in the process ) and instead swipe at her cheeks and red-rimmed eyes.

“never mind,” rachel says in a voice that she hates, gravelly and so worn at the edges it is almost soft. the words are not ANNOYED, as they could be from any other mouth, but instead there is a not of defeat in them, “it’s nothing. fuck, i hate - sorry for getting so worked up,” she’s trying to turn it into a joke ; the flushed face and bitten lips and the fact she’s up and out so very late. “i’m not usually like this, promise.”
