Found this while looking for ideas for how I want the design for my generation to look! Circled my favorites for each race. I don't have the money at the moment to commission any art, but it would mean the world to me if anyone wants to draw any of my oc's in the styles circled.
I also have original details I'd like to implement for each race to make them more special/distinct since this series carries a theme of separation and differences;
Earth ponies would be more furry. I've always loved the art some people do with the little chest fluff! Maybe also heavier looking? Not too sure about that, but definitely fluffier!
The underside of pegasus wings would be reflective and the color of their eyes
Unicorns wouldn't really change concept-wise since their horns already glow when they're casting magic
Pick one of my projects for me to work on from just the title of the thing.
Echoes of What Remains(Possessed Lunar and Earth AU)
Uranium Fever(TEASS x Fallout AU)
Harpy Hare
Zombo's Academy for Aspiring Serial Killers(Not a fanfic)
Start working on a concept for a new fanfic website
None of these. Organize your docs stupid/Results
Anyone else have the insatiable need to make every form of art ever? Like I can’t just draw, i wanna know how to shove it in your ears, how to move in the most insane ways possible, write for 4 different shows, even being part of a team to create a game on any scale is a NEED.
My way of living is through art but where could i even start with no plan nor skill.
I feel insanely annoying when I advise my friends making a show like
"I think you should establish a color palette! Famous shows-"
"most popular media has iconic characters and/or concepts...i think we need to focus on characters and their development more because the only thing I think I know about object shows is that nobody gives a shit about where TF they are"
"most popular media" and I say that like 100000 times
Was talking about creative stuff today. My friend is working on a show that I'm gonna be in, and I was talking about my own inability to finish anything and how I'd love to write scripts myself but I don't finish things so I don't really feel like there's much of a point.
And I kind of came to the conclusion that a big reason I never get very far is that I never have someone to work with I guess? Like I've always felt really terrible about relying so much on interaction because like, I know I should be writing for myself. And I thought maybe I didn't. But also even when I do have interaction it's hard to get myself to finish stuff even if it's a really important story to me.
Because like, I need someone to get excited about stuff with. I need someone to share ideas and consult and be like "omg that's so good!!!" And figure out story and plot points and do things together. If I don't have someone to be excited about my creatives with, then it just isn't fun for me. I enjoy it at first because I'm excited for people to enjoy it and talk about it and for people to be excited with me about it. But I know I can't rely on reader interaction because some stuff just done get traction and that's fine.
So instead I want someone that I can CREATE the story with but every time I do it feels like there's some kind of hierarchy, which I hate. Like one person has all the decision power and the other is just giving ideas. When I want real feedback. I want to be told if the idea isn't great, if it needs to be reworked, I want it to be equal. I NEED people to be excited with me to have fun with it an finish it but it's just so hard to find community the way I want. And it feels weird just meeting random people for it because then where is the trust to like. Just spout bullshit.
Idk I just really want to be able to have someone to just fully create something TOGETHER. I love bouncing ideas off of each other, too, but I've never been able to really create something from scratch with someone and I really want to.
POC Creators on The Owl House
I've seen a lot of people complain about how The Owl House is about POC characters but made by mostly white people. And it's true that many of the Owl crew are white people.
But there are many POC creators on that crew as well that aren't as well known, so I think we should uplift them and give them attention too. After all, Dana doesn't do everything.
Here's just some of them:
______
Luz Batista - Storyboard Artist & Revisionist Worked on episodes in both Season 1 and Season 2. She also did some writing, and language and cultural advising. (She's also the person Luz is named after!)
Ricky Cometa - Art Director Worked on almost the whole show (39 episodes).
Anne Chunapongse - Production Management Post-production Supervisor for 38 episodes, Production Manager for 1 episode
Madeleine Hernandez - Writer Worked on all of Season 2, part of Season 1b
Mikki Crisostomo - Writer Worked on all of Season 2
Janae Hall - (former) Writer Staff Writer for Season 2a, Production Associate for Season 1.
Aminder Dhaliwal - Storyboard Artist and Director Directed 6 episodes in Season 1, and was Storyboard Artist for 5 episodes in Season 1.
Jessica Chandra - Line Producer Worked on Season 2b.
Rhea Dadoo - Storyboard Artist Worked on episodes in both Seasons 1 and 2. (including Grom and TTBK!)
Aleth Romanillos - Prop Design Worked on episodes in both Season 1 and 2.
There's so many more but I can only put 10 pictures here, and also, many don't have public photos of themselves.
Also I should mention Christian Palacios. He did prop design for Edge of the World and King's Tide. He was on Cissy's Instagram live last night and talked about working on King's Tide, and how he got to work on The Owl House. The recording of the live is on @/cissyspeaks Instagram page.
