If there’s any Olicity fan out there that still have doubts about them being ENDGAME, I have the proof for you...

Watching the entire crossover again for umpteenth time last night, I noticed something. You know that when Barry shows Oliver the front page of the future newspaper, he said he had changed things so much that the article is not longer written by Iris, right? Well, that might have changed but there’s something it hasn’t. 

The smaller article on the bottom left of the page hasn’t changed. Look!

There’s still a Queen, Inc in the future. Neither Oliver, nor Thea are going to run the company. When, not if, WHEN Felicity marries Oliver, she’ll take the Queen name (or at least put the name on the company, she always have wanted to get it back to him). The only other Queen out there is William, who’ll be barely 18 years old by 2024 so I really doubt he’s the one behind the company

So, there you go. There’s your proof that no matter how gloom things are for Olicity right now, the future is so much brigther

I know the writers have barely focused on F/bf but do you think the writers will do the same with O and reporter? I would love if they implied that O and reporter had sex instead of it being shown, like they did with F/bf in 505.

This is the million dollar question, nonny. I sincerely hope we don’t have to see more than absolutely necessary with Oliver and the reporter. Then again, until Wednesday, I was hoping that they’d leave the fact Felicity is sleeping with Billy Bob McRebound up to our imaginations too. So basically: I don’t have a lot of hope. BUT! I don’t think we’ll get 3x20 level stuff which is GOOD. Because we have only ever gotten 3x20 level stuff for Olicity. Even that atrocious scene with LL in 1x22 was pretty much a cut-away (as was the lunge in 2x13). While I won’t LIKE IT (not one teeny bit), I’ll prefer that to any sort of drawn out scene. Which I really don’t think they’ll subject us to. Either way, I’ll still have a glass of wine handy.

Random question: Do you think the writers would be trollish about the engagement in 4x23? What I mean is, say Felicity proposes to Oliver, but before she can propose, they get interrupted like in 4x01 and that's how the season ends. Or would they properly tie this up? Just curious.

Generally speaking, these writers don’t tend to do much trolling in the finale. Yes, I understand that the “I love you” in 2x23 felt like a troll, and whether or not Oliver meant it was left hanging, but I feel that was in keeping with the storyline at that particular time. It made sense to the narrative. I don’t think that the trolling like you describe would make much sense to the narrative.
