Feel free to laugh at Cody all you like. He's a shit... mostly because he doesn't like being told what to do and how to go and that's basically all there's to lunging. I'll post a video sometime of him acting out. It's quite entertaining. Then there's the random "mom what's this all go in a circle stuff? I don't know what to do. I've never done this before" days he pulls on occasion...

Okay, so when I tried to lunge the Giraffe outside the pen (after spending like three days lunging him in the round pen so it would make sense), he literally just moved his butt and made me rotate aroud him trying o get him to move forward. I remember saying in frustration, "who's lunging who here?!"

I would love to see a video of Cody, because I love Cody and he's just a stud. FYI, I'm stealing him.

Aren't youu afraid that you aren't doing a lot with Arrow? Like, aren't you going to fall behind? There are other riders on here like Otteventer and 4starfuture and showoffsmom who all have young TB eventers that are already competing and you haven't even jumped yet. Is it because you aren't as brave? Just curious.

Haha thanks for the question but no, I am not worried :) Otteventer, 4starfuture, and showoffsmom are all fantastic eventers that are doing great things with their green horses and I can't wait to see where they go in the future! However there are a few differences between those horses and Arrow, the first being, Arrow is 3, while he is smart and wonderful he is still very much a baby second being, he is just about to hit 17hands. Bigger horses take longer to mature physically. My trainer and I are set on not putting him over fences until later in his 4 year old year. Also, Arrow is not my emphasis right now, I ride him and work with him but his job right now is to basically grow up. My priority right now is Riley who is in the process of making the jump to Prelim, so more of my time and energy is being put there. I am not afraid of Arrow, on the contrary he is probably the most mellow 3 year old I have ever had the pleasure to sit on, he hacks out in groups and alone and always very willing :)

the conversation going on between sarah, cath and i right now is making me feel smart and happy because not only do i know who we're talking about, but i'm able to make educated points too. both sar and cath are making great points and i'm really enjoying this. yep!

Stupidface and I are gonna kill this Dressage test

After months of trying to work up the nerve to ask my coach whether or not I should use spurs on Stupidface, as the brilliant @showoffsmom suggested, coach told me on her own today to put on a pair. I used spurs a long time ago in Western, but today I think they made a difference. I'm excited to see how they help him in the show on Saturday.

Can you take them right off the breastplate? What kind of fuzzies are they? I know that some can be cleaned with a soft usage of water with a bit of soap…… IDK from experience, my breastplate is leather and I don’t use fuzzy half pads.

Yeah I can take them off! They're just off my 5 point, soap and water sounds good to me!

I’m sooooo glad I’m not alone!!!!!! I was so excited for the new season, then it was kinda a total flop and I was hoping this one would be better but nope…

Yeah exactly. I had tried to prepare myself for it to be a let down, knowing they fired Harmon. But I will still looking forward to it, and I have not enjoyed these first episodes at all. Ugh.
