I have Second Horse Itch real bad...

...and if I had the money, I would buy 4starfuture / katemsev's Annie from her in a heartbeat.

Sadly, neither of these things are going to happen. Mostly because I'm a mostly broke college student whose parents are basically about to stop funding my horse habit.

this has been a first world struggle for your consideration.

Do you have any favorite horse/rider pairs on Tumblr? :)

Oh my gosh, yes! There are SO many rider/horse combos that I simply adore on Tumblr… I can’t even name them all, oh boy. Here are the first ones that come to mind:

1. Favorite breed?  Thoroughbred, I rarely ride something other as the barn I ride at is mostly ex-racehorses.

2. Favorite color?  I like dark colors like seal browns, but chestnuts and I always seem to get along well.  I didn't used to like chestnut, but now it probably ties with my love for dark colored horses.

3. Been to a concert?  Yes, I've been to Nsync and Avril Lavigne.  Years ago.

4. Dream date?  Oh gawd, umm.  Curled up on the couch in front of the fire reading.. 

5.  Top five equine products you'd recommend?  Ogilvy (It has been so good for my horse's back), EquiFit, Ariat, irideon, and Weatherbeeta.  Not in any particular order really.

6.  Favorite thing about your current barn/trainer/horse?  I have been with the barn I ride at since I was 9, I've grown up there.  I recently swapped from the head trainer to the assistant head trainer who works more on flat work which I have been lacking lately.  I've owned my horse for about 8 years; he is my baby.  He's very well behaved, but not easy.

7.  Best movie you've ever seen?  Hunger Games.

8.  Favorite band/singer?  No idea, I have a wide range of music tastes.

9.  Favorite animal (besides equine)?  Dolphin 

10.  What is your dream car?  I don't know cars really, but a small hatchback in a color that is not a bright color. 

11.  Number one talent?  Procrastinating even things I want to do.

Aren't youu afraid that you aren't doing a lot with Arrow? Like, aren't you going to fall behind? There are other riders on here like Otteventer and 4starfuture and showoffsmom who all have young TB eventers that are already competing and you haven't even jumped yet. Is it because you aren't as brave? Just curious.

Haha thanks for the question but no, I am not worried :) Otteventer, 4starfuture, and showoffsmom are all fantastic eventers that are doing great things with their green horses and I can't wait to see where they go in the future! However there are a few differences between those horses and Arrow, the first being, Arrow is 3, while he is smart and wonderful he is still very much a baby second being, he is just about to hit 17hands. Bigger horses take longer to mature physically. My trainer and I are set on not putting him over fences until later in his 4 year old year. Also, Arrow is not my emphasis right now, I ride him and work with him but his job right now is to basically grow up. My priority right now is Riley who is in the process of making the jump to Prelim, so more of my time and energy is being put there. I am not afraid of Arrow, on the contrary he is probably the most mellow 3 year old I have ever had the pleasure to sit on, he hacks out in groups and alone and always very willing :)

Who are your top ten favorite tumblr horses and why?

Boomer; He’s absolutely stunning to look at. He’s got the cheekiest personality I’ve ever known. He’s got the athleticism of a horse twice his size and the heart to match. He’s unique in many ways and they all make him better. He also belongs to my best friend so..there’s that.

Belle; She’s the cUTEST MINIATURE HORSE THE WORLD HAS EVER LAID ITS EYES ON. No lie. She’s perfect in every way and I don’t know what I would do without that little bundle of joy — and her momma — in my life.

Amyra; She’s probably one of the most beautiful jumpers I’ve seen in a long time. Super talented little lady ridden by my suuuper talented friend. She reminds me a bit of Prima sometimes.

Remi; He’s perfect. Simple.

Tori; I can’t get over her adorable face. She’s another mare that I just can’t help but love. She’s athletic, talented, and bloody hilarious. Her & her momma make me smile and I love them.

Bee; Bee. Enough said. <3

Winny; He’s absolutely stunning. Such a pleasure to watch. Also, Jaime may or may not be one of my favorite riders on Tumblr? Hm.

Fire; Uggghhhh, Fire. I can’t even with him. He is the goofiest, handsomest, most adorable little TB ever. He also is owned by a really good friend of mine!

Annie; She’s lovely. I love seeing the updates and other posts about her. I think she has a lot of potential. I have a thing for Thoroughbreds and a thing for dapple greys and she’s both so I’m automatically going to like her!

Ace; Sir is one of my favorite horses in the world. He has come through so much and he’s still such an incredible boy. I just love him so much.
