How do you think Arya will react to the news of Jon's kneeling? I mean she loves him to pieces, surely, but then there's the question of the North and its independence - Arya watched as Robb's body with Grey Wind's head sewn to his shoulders was paraded before the soldires... And then there's Sansa who has been so supportive and fierce to maintain the North for Jon, and then he swoops in with Lady D and says - oooops I'm Robb 2.0? But I still want to believe in the Undercover!Jon theory sooo bad

Honestly? 

I think Arya will be angry. Yes, she loves Jon more than almost anyone else. He was the one person who really let her be who she wanted to be without judgment or reprimand. But that doesn’t negate her fierce love for the rest of her family either, for all that’s happened to them and the sacrifices they made. Jon kneeling to Danielle essentially makes a mockery of all that they’ve fought for: their home, their family, and Northern independence.

This doesn’t mean Arya would betray or ostracise Jon for his decision. He’s still her family, but I don’t think she’ll be happy about it. 

There’s also the case that if Jon is doing this out of ‘love’ and ‘blind faith’ in Danielle as a ruler, this will rub Arya the wrong way as well because Danielle’s a stranger and not a part of the pack. The Starks are distrusting (as are the Northerners) and a Targaryen queen coming here with 2 dragons to rule over them won’t bode well. 

Right now, the only people the Starks can trust are each other. This is a fact compounded from Day 1 and now it’s finally really reaching fruition at the end of Season 7 with Sansa, Arya and Bran banding together to take down Littlefinger. 

Simply looking at Arya’s behaviour and dialogue in Season 7, when she returns, she immediately asks what LF is doing here. She knows he’s a weasel but she doesn’t know the full extent of LF’s manipulation. She was never truly privy to that in King’s Landing, so she’s asking because he’s an outsider, he was part of the Lannisters’ entourage, and therefore, he doesn’t belong in Winterfell. 

Then later, Arya is angry over the Northern houses’ disloyalty to Jon. She suggests killing them for their treasonous thoughts. That’s because she’s loyal to Jon, of course, but she even views them as outsiders with no say on who should be ruling Winterfell and the North. It should be a Stark and always a Stark. 

All of this means that Arya does not take too kindly to anyone who isn’t a Stark coming to her home to lay claim on what belongs to her family, not even another Northern lord. So imagine her anger when it’s not only a foreign queen but a Targaryen. Keep in mind she’s been told since she was a babe that House Targaryen killed her uncle and grandfather and kidnapped/raped her aunt. Jon can speak for hours about Danielle’s ‘good heart’ all he wants. 

At the end of the day, she’s an outsider, a foreigner and most definitely not a Stark, and I can’t see a way for Arya not to be angry about that.

92 “I want you to be happy” Jon and Sansa, pleeeeease =***

Technically a continuation of this arranged marriage AU but can totally be read on its own.

Jon must leave her inthe morning.  

It is plain to Sansathat he does not wish to go. That what he really wantsis to stay, here in Winterfell, with her.

Though he has saidlittle about it, Sansa can see Jon’s feelings on the matter plainly enough inthe set of his shoulders and in the way he clenches his jaw tightly whenever hethinks she does not see.

But before Jon isanything else – her husband; her lover, now; her dearest friend – Jon is heirto the Iron Throne.  And the queen requires his presence in Kings Landingas soon as possible, according to her raven from two nights ago.

As queen of whatremains of the Seven Kingdoms her will, of course, supersedes all. And so eventhough Jon has not left Sansa’s side for more than a handful of hourssince the morning of their wedding ceremony a fortnight ago, tomorrow at dawnher father will load him up with furs and dried food and all the men he canspare to escort him on the long journey south.

Sansa, as the oldestliving child to the Warden of the North, will not be able to join her husbandin their new home in Kings Landing until the northern harvests are all gatheredand properly accounted for. Which means that by the time they are finallyreunited, she and Jon will have been apart from each other for nearly the fulllength of their marriage.

“I just want you to behappy, Sansa,” Jon tells her tonight after the sweat from their shared passionhas cooled on their skin. He traces her full lips with the pad of his thumb,examining her face for any sign of the tears that have threatened to fall sincehe first shared with her the queen’s instructions for him. “It’s all Iwant in the world.”

“Then don’t go.”Sansa’s eyes are fierce as she holds his gaze, her tone brooking no opposition.

Jon meets her eyeswith an expression that belies his sadness, but in it is also a determinationthat is more than a match for her own.

“I have to go,” hetells her flatly, unyielding.

Without sayinganything further Jon rolls her gently onto her back and begins to slowly,tenderly kiss down the length of her body. He begins at her breasts, nuzzlingthe sweet valley between them before kissing the two rosy-crested peaks.

“Jon…”

He rests his head,briefly, on her stomach. “I’m sorry,” he murmurs into her soft skin. “Iwish I could stay,” he whispers to her navel before kissing it and continuinghis journey south.

She wishes he couldstay, too. She has wanted to scream and shout with the unfairness of hisleaving until it’s been all she could do these past few days to bite hertongue. But now, here in their bed, Sansa finds it difficult to hold on to heranguish, and to her anger with the queen for taking her new husband from her sosoon after their wedding night, the more he touches her.

When his mouth at lastreaches her sex, he lifts his head and looks up at her with an expression fullof such adulation and longing it takes her breath away, even as the feel of hisbreath on her sensitive flesh turns her blood to fire in her veins.

“Something for you toremember me by until we are reunited,” he murmurs, a small smile playing at thecorners of his lips, before he presses his mouth to her and all conversationends.

This will sustain me, she thinks, her eyes closing of their own accord as thepleasure, once again, begins to build. 

She winds her fingersinto Jon’s hair and tugs, pulling him closer. 

It will have to sustain me.

It will never happen though. I don’t think we’ll ever see Essos or anyone from there again. That chapter is closed (unfortunately. I would love to have some feedback from there.)

The new Starks/Winterfell tune is so pure and beautiful! And Dany's theme on the other hand is kinda creepy and idk... troubling? And people are still viewing her as the savior and all that? And they make Jon say that 'she has a good heart' line? I hope he will see her for what she has truly become(

Omg tell me about it!

I think it’s so telling as well that during Dani’s victorious battle over the Lannisters, instead of some epic theme song, we have something that’s so woefully tragic, and instead, we’re treated to glimpses of the absolute devastation that she caused. If people still think she’s a hero, they are undeniably blind to what the show is not-so-subtly trying to tell them. But then, I don’t have a problem with that because it will make her inevitable fall from grace so much more satisfying to watch. No doubt there will be people who deny it till the very end, but they’re hardly worth anyone’s time. 

Also, personally, when Jon says “she has a good heart”, it didn’t sound like he was praising her. I mean the way he says it doesn’t sound like admiration, it sounds rather off-handed. It sounded like he was at a loss as to what to say. It sounded like a lot like how I start my metas about Dani. ‘She has a good heart, but…’ Because Dani does. She’s not a villain (yet). She still wholeheartedly believes she’s doing the right thing. I think Jon recognises that. He has met and seen malicious men and women. He has seen pure evil, faced it in the form of the Night King, and Dani is neither that. She is not pure evil. She is simply someone whose ‘good heart’ has been warped by absolute power. Jon may not fully realise that yet, but his speech about dissuading her use of dragons suggest that he clearly does not agree with her methods. 

It’s basically a cop out answer because what else was he supposed to say to Davos? If he thought she was a good ruler, he would’ve said that, but he doesn’t think that she is. He disagrees with everything she’s doing, believes her goals are wasted and the Iron Throne is a pointless endeavour. If his attraction to her was more than simply attraction, he might’ve mentioned something about her beauty or something less generic as ‘she has a good heart’. 

I equate it to when someone asks you if you find a person attractive that you don’t at all, but you don’t want to appear mean and cruel, so you say “they’re cute.” Sometimes you do think they’re cute, but how many of us have said that just to avoid saying we don’t find them physically attractive? I don’t think Jon thinks badly of Dani, but he is wary of her, exasperated by her pursuit for the throne (demonstrated in the way Jon is constantly seen rolling her eyes or sighing at Davos) and probably can’t shake the feeling that there is something dangerous about her. Yet how can he articulate that without evidence? He knows she’s no Cersei, knows she freed slaves, saved lives in Essos and doesn’t want to kill thousands of innocent civilians, so yes, she does have a good heart, in so far as he can see at that moment.

Have you seen the way Sansa looks at him after the scene with Alys and little Ned renewing their vows? Like she now gets his point and almost concurs? I can't get over it. I just can't. If these two are ever going to have a realtionship, they're gonna nail it. Because they might be the only people in this show who are telling each other the truth. All this time we've been seeing Jon's glances and smiles. But what of Sansa?!! Jon is the only person with whom she doesn't need to wear a mask.

Because all this and just everything. I was so worried we weren’t going to get any good Jonsa scenes but boy was I wrong!

But you’re so right. I have never seen Sansa look at anyone so fondly in the past six seasons. The way she reassures him, touches his arm to make him look at her, the way she smiles at him and the way her eyes lighten when she realises Jon is doubting his self-worth again. She honestly loves him so much and I think for her this is the season that love transcends into more romantic territories. 

They are beautiful together. They really are such a great team.

number 97: “I want you and I know you want me too,” our babies Jon and Sansa, please

“I want you and I know you want me too.” 

“Not even a little,” Sansa gasped, as he nipped at her pulse point. She tightened her grip around his neck and tugged his hair back, so she could look him in the eyes. “I hate you, Jon Snow. I hate you so much.” 

He smirked and captured her mouth with his, moving fiercely and determinedly, like he could kiss all the sense right out of her. Maybe he could. Considering Sansa had her legs wrapped around his waist, her dress hitched up to her hips and several hickeys dotted up her neck, she’d say she had definitely lost her mind. 

“You keep,” he paused to place a kiss to the edge of her lips, “saying that.” Another pause as he ran more kisses along the line of her jaw. “But we keep ending up here every time we’re even in the same room together.” 

Sansa let out a growl of frustration as she ran her fingers through his curls. She bucked her hips and smiled when she heard his own groan reciprocate her impatience. 

“I find you attractive, but I still hate you,” Sansa answered firmly, even though her body felt weightless in his arms. For a neanderthal hockey player, she couldn’t help be amazed by how gentle he always was with her. It wasn’t just that the sex was as aggressive and passionate as their verbal bickering, but Sansa knew he’d never really hurt her. The way his arms splayed out around her back to the way his eyes crinkled in smug satisfaction every time he made her mewl – there was fondness beneath it all, and maybe that scared Sansa just a little too much. 

Jon wrapped his arms tighter around her and lifted her away from the wall. He effortlessly moved them over to the main table and laid her down on top, pushing her dress even further up so he could place a searing kiss to her thigh. But instead of doing what she desperately wanted, Jon rested his chin, prickly from his unshaven beard, on top of her skin. The sensation was intoxicating and Sansa tried to squirm underneath him, but Jon just stilled her movements. 

“We’re going to see a lot of each other, Stark,” he said, amused but also shy. God knew how Sansa knew that though. “We might as well try to get along. For our teams, you know?” 

She rested her elbows on the table so she could lift herself up to look at him properly. “Jon, our teams don’t even run in the same circles. You’re captain of the hockey team and I’m captain of the figure skating team. In what world –” 

“C’mon, Sans.” Her heart sped up at the nickname. He looked exasperated now. “We’re from the same university. We’re here for two weeks for the tournament. I think it’d be nice if we could get along.”

“We get along fine,” Sansa said as she ran her fingers down her body to grip onto the hem of her dress. In one swift move, she pulled it off and threw it to the far corner of the meeting room. Twenty minutes ago, it had been filled with members of both of their teams, the university sports coordinators, and their coaches. Now, it was just them – with Sansa in her red bra and black underwear (thanking God she remembered to do laundry the other day and didn’t have to resort to her less-than-pretty undergarments) and Jon staring at her like she was something to be revered. 

Jon straightened up and pulled off his own shirt before descending over her to kiss her again. His hands were finally back on her and Sansa thumped her head back against the table when they found their way to her hips. 

“What if I...” he inched back, his lips swollen and red, while his eyes looked more concerned than turned on. Sansa frowned, reaching up to smooth the furrow between his brows. “Sansa, what if I wanted us to get along outside of just meeting rooms and offices?” 

“What are you saying?” She was still frowning, but the butterflies were fluttering ecstatically in her stomach. 

“That maybe I want to take you out on a date and that maybe I feel irrationally angry every time I think about you doing this with anyone else.” Jon’s jaw ticked and he closed his eyes. “Remember when we played King’s Landing?” 

“Yeah?” Sansa touched his cheek and forced him to open his eyes. 

“I knocked Joffrey out not because he was trying to foul Tormund. I did it because he kept talking shit about you,” Jon admitted, shaking his head. “I know. How very neanderthal of me the hockey player but –” 

Sansa placed both hands on either side of his face and pulled him down for a kiss. It was neither aggressive nor frenzied, as was normally the case between them; it was soft, searching and, God save her, affectionate. 

“I don’t hate you,” she whispered against his lips, unable to keep the goofy grin from spreading. “I hate how much I don’t hate you.” 

“I can live with that,” Jon chuckled, kissing her again. “I can definitely live with that.”
