Har Gow Dim Sum Crystal Shrimp Dumplings are a classic Cantonese delicacy known for their translucent skin and succulent shrimp filling. These dumplings are a must-try for dim sum lovers!
Ingredients: 200g fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined. 100g bamboo shoots, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ginger, minced. 1 teaspoon soy sauce. 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil. 1/2 teaspoon sugar. 1/4 teaspoon white pepper. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 tablespoon cornstarch. 20 round dumpling wrappers. Water for sealing dumplings. Chopped green onions for garnish.
Instructions: Pulse the shrimp in a food processor until they are small pieces that don't turn into a paste. Put the chopped shrimp in a bowl and add the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, salt, and cornstarch. Combine well. Put a teaspoon of the shrimp mixture in the middle of a dumpling wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half to make a half-moon shape and seal the edges. Make a pretty border by pleating the edges. Do it again with the rest of the filling and wrappers. Put the dumplings in a bamboo steamer and place it over boiling water. Steam for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the dumplings are clear and the filling is fully cooked. Add chopped green onions on top and serve hot with soy sauce or any other dipping sauce you like.
